Sgt,
I wish you luck with getting your suspension bottoming out issue resolved. Based on what others have posted, the dealership probably won’t do anything for you. But to make sure you’ve checked all of the boxes, I recommend you also call Jeep cares and let them know you have the issue too...
@BEERviper,
I appreciate you calling attention to your previous post. I saw it, and was just saying that I haven’t even seen the ones you mentioned we could see during the over 13k miles I’ve driven my JTRD.
?
I’ve put more than 13k miles on and I haven’t seen any AR notices yet. However, I think I can usually tell when it’s happening by watching my fuel economy.
so we went from “let’s have an open discussion on a topic that seems to affect several of us” to “let’s abuse, insult and troll anyone who isn’t as smart as I am”.
wow. I bet you’re loads of fun to be around. How about if you don’t have anything productive to contribute, keep you’re trollful...
I hate to ask this, because it seems like it’s very simple. And yes, I have read every post, but this thread has been alive for awhile and I can’t remember if it’s been addressed yet or not…
Have we checked our air filters? Knowing that our EDs are very high strung and are already operating...
Casey250 (a YouTuber - stock gearing) has a VLOG where his JLURD and a friend’s JTD ( YouTube channel “EPIC Adventure Outfitters” - regeared) de-rated at the same time on the same stretch of road.
That leads me to believe it’s not gearing or tyre size dependent.
so, you’re saying the 2” lift I currently have should solve all of our problems over and above what you’re suggesting is sufficient, since that’s an extra inch more than what prescribe?
Yeah… maybe keep the “stupidest thing I’ve ever read here in awhile” comments to yourself. Especially since...
@Barbarian
I just watched a video of a bump stop install. Did it really take you only 2.5 hours to remove your springs, cut the bump stop tube, install the new bump stops, then reinstall the springs?
it looks a lot more intimidating and involved in the video.
I have a JTRD with a 2” lift and stock 33” A/T tyres. I average 24-25 mpg with about 75/25% highway to city driving in low elevation, relatively flat terrain (not Kansas flat, but still). I’m not sure where you’re getting 27 mpg, unless you’re talking about the lighter models with smaller...
It’s happened to me on two separate trips while towing in Texas. The last time was the weekend prior to 4 July. It derated four times. The hills just kill this thing.
