  1. Warn Winch 12S

Did you swap from a the plastic bumper to the steel one when you put the winch on? If so, the steel skid plate will not match up. You’ll need to get a different MOPAR steel skid plate to bolt up to the steel bumper. (That’s just ridiculous… why not have one skid plate that works for both...
  2. JEEP GLADIATOR BEDRUG GROUP BUY

Has anyone actually received their bedrug? I made my purchase on 6 June. I still don’t have any further info on shipping.
  3. Is the diesel gladiator worth it?

So, the OP didn’t state he wouldn’t consider the manual transmission on another vehicle, and when I went into the “vehicle configuration” on the Jeep website, I didn’t see the $2000 discount for the Diesel engine. So… I don’t see where I’m being dishonest about prices. Here’s a local vehicle...
  4. Is the diesel gladiator worth it?

As probably one of the earlier JT ecodiesel owners (I picked mine up just before last thanksgiving), here are my pros and cons to having the ecodiesel in our JTs. Pros: - Fantastic fuel economy (I’m getting around 25 MPG with my JTRD with A/T tyres and Mopar 2” lift) - Awesome power for...
  5. Does anyone know of a long range fuel tank?

No. Because Jeep swapped the fuel tank and exhaust system sides. Also, there is so much crap for diesel exhaust, we don’t have the room under the bed and between the frame rails that the 3.6L crowd does. I’d stick with the spare tyre fuel tank, and get a replacement rear bumper to hold the...
  6. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

yes. But that doesn’t change my statement.
  7. Diesel vs Magnusson?

The diesel is actually a $6,500 upcharge because they bill you an extra $2000 for the up-rated transmission. Making the difference a lot closer if I were to do it again, I’d go the magnusson route.
  8. Don't let this be you...

If you watch the video, it’s entirely likely the driver wasn’t trying to cross any of the water, but got caught in the flash flood going down one of the streets which washed the Jeep into deeper water.
  9. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

So, you guys know what my story is. That said… The dealer had my truck in their shop for 7 weeks. They had an engineer check my truck out twice. The engineer’s assessment is that it needed a certain shock. Unfortunately, I don’t know what that shock is (part number), but I do remember them...
  10. Look a Bronco going off road like to hear your thoughts

I agree with the aftermarket remark and the time it will take to get the aftermarket support the JL/JT has. However, the best overall treatment I’ve had from a dealer was from my local Ford dealer. That’s not to say my local CDJR dealer *service* department treated me poorly. On the contrary...
  11. Look a Bronco going off road like to hear your thoughts

I think the new big bronco will be a fantastic alternative for 75-80% of wrangler buyers. And based on the TFL review, perhaps easier to drive and more comfortable due to the IFS.
  12. Regional meets?

So far, I’ve been to two off-road parks since taking delivery of my JTRD. The first one was the northwest OHV park. The truck was bone stock with two adults, two kids and some crap in the bed. While there, my wife told me I can’t do any more off-roading until I get a lift. This fit into my...
  13. So disappointed in this Diesel platform; wish there was a return policy.

May I ask what you’re pulling? A low profile trailer would be easier to tow than a travel trailer due to wind resistance.
  14. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Ok, folks, As probably one of the earlier JT ecodiesel owners (I picked mine up just before last thanksgiving), here are my pros and cons to having the ecodiesel in our JTs. Pros: - Fantastic fuel economy (I’m getting around 25 MPG with my JTRD with A/T tyres and Mopar 2” lift) - Awesome...
  15. Is there a module that deletes ACC 5-second hold

now that *is* an interesting point. My F-150 would also engage the electronic parking brake after a very long time of holding the brakes. By very long, I mean several minutes. Perhaps it is a brake pressure limitation and/or parking brake issue since it’s a manual lever actuated brake.
  16. Is there a module that deletes ACC 5-second hold

I agree! It could be. However, my old F-150 had their 3.0L diesel with ACC and auto stop Start, and would hold the brakes… even when the auto stop start activated.
  17. Is there a module that deletes ACC 5-second hold

Intent and capability are two different things I’m sure Jeep didn’t intend for my stock front suspension to suck. But it sure was capable of it. So much so that my two front shocks had been leaking due to busted seals. I’d wager the front springs are not rated to support the diesel. Again...
  18. Is there a module that deletes ACC 5-second hold

That’s an interesting assertion, but can you prove that Jeep ACC is not designed to be capable of that sort of use? I totally agree that there could be an assumption that there is an alert driver at the controls. However, it seems that it would be safer to hold the brakes - because we all...
  19. Is there a module that deletes ACC 5-second hold

I never said it should resume on its own following a stop. In fact, I did say that it would hold the stop indefinitely until the driver intervenes by either pressing resume or the accelerator pedal( or cancel ACC). Which is how Ford’s does it. (unless you have their version of autopilot, which...
