This is exactly the route i was wanting to go - how do these tires fair int he mud ?
  2. The good and the bad of a roots supercharger.

Yeah i noticed that they look wildly different, looks like its cast instead of stamped, I assume the middle lobe rests until its actuated by higher oil pressure in the higher rev range ? (or vice versa).
  3. The good and the bad of a roots supercharger.

Wow the cams and rocker look very different from what i've seen from people doing this job on Youtube - i guess the VVL stuff has to be - that lifter is a new revised mopar part ?
  4. Mark another one dead

Its more than likely not an issue that either you or the OP could have seen. Nowadays i see plenty of people pushing close to 400whp with stock honda longblocks (B series) back in the late 90s/early 00's people used to blow them up ALL the time at very low boost levels. Friend of mine had a...
  5. is 0W-20 really the right oil ?

Thanks guys - i'll stick with this oil weight - i am thinking of switching to amsoil though on my next oil change. no funny sounds or anything coming from my engine *knock on wood*- but figured since its preventive maintenance i'd ask if anyone else has had better success with a different oil...
  6. Class action lawsuit against fca

I've seen many vehicles with the pentastar 3.6 that have held up really well. I used to have a '13 grand caravan i put 120k miles on it with absolutely 0 issues - just oil changes, brakes, tires and thats it. I talked to a guy at the dealership that was trading in his ram tradesmen with 250k on...
  7. is 0W-20 really the right oil ?

I know thats what the oil cap calls for - and it sure does make it a bit easier to pour in - however I still do not feel comfortable with this oil weight - was there something done to the pentastars (tighter bearing clearances) that demand this thin oil ? I've heard from many folks who run...
  8. Gladiator sport 37s no lift!?

I doubt you can do 37's with no lift (atleast not without rubbing)- not so much because of the lift clearence -but the fender flares on non rubicons are lower and the narrow axles will be limiting in terms of when you need to turn. Spidertrax wheelspacers, rubicon fender flares and you could...
  9. 35s or 37s?

Is this a max tow ? I want to go the same route - but trying to avoid spacers so thinking of picking up Rock Trixx RT105's 17x9 4.5bs -12 - just was worried about rubbing when i am on the trails.
  10. 35x12.5x17 on 2" BDS list (Willys - stock wheels)

I'll be going with Rocktrix R105 17x9 (-12mm Offset, 4.5in Backspace) this seems like the best setup - just contemplating if i should just step up to 37's now.
  11. Kenda Klever R/T KR601 35x10.50R17

Looking to get these installed on my Willys - was wondering if any of you guys with a Willys (non widtetrac axles) see any rubbing under articulation - plan on hitting up the trail alot more with these new tires. I already have a 2" BDS lift -i don't expect rubbing under full articulation but I...
  12. Rock Rails with step that won't limit clearance

Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on available rock rails out there that would help with ingress/egress that won't limit clearance ? Was thinking along the lines of a step that can bolt onto the factory rock sliders on my Willys and easily detach when I want to hit the trails - but...
  13. 35x12.5x17 on 2" BDS list (Willys - stock wheels)

Oh I am not worried about the expense so much I just like the stock look and was trying to keep it more stealth. I am probably going to go with the quadratec option.
  14. 35x12.5x17 on 2" BDS list (Willys - stock wheels)

I am thinking of getting higher quality spacers and just mounting 35x12.5's on it and calling it a day - as per the shops recommendation, would this be a mistake ?
  15. 35x12.5x17 on 2" BDS list (Willys - stock wheels)

Was wondering what I would need to run these size tires on my Willys - i'd like to keep the stock wheels and would prefer to not have to run a spacer - is a spacer going to be a must ?
  16. Clayton Off Road JT Suspension Systems

I am thinking I need more of a consultation - i am just trying to clear 35's without rubbing under full articulation - something that will be performant - allow the ability for swaybar disconnects and articulate well - but still be daily drivable.
  17. Clayton Off Road JT Suspension Systems

Will the stock shocks on a Willys be useable with this lift kit ? I assume it will limit travel a bit. Is there an option for disconnect-able sway bar end links ?
  18. Mopar 2 inch lift kit

I am not an expert but FWIW dealer told me that since this is more off road orientated - payload and towing capacity will be sacrificed - they said they couldn't give me exact #'s.
  19. Best Performant (Off Road) Suspension lift thats under 3"

*I EDITED the post to better reflect what i am looking for* I put my deposit down on a BDS 2" Lift and was wondering if i should just go with the Mopar 2" lift. Is there really much a difference between the 2 ? I like that the BDS kit comes with sway bar disconnects - however i've read that...
  20. Hi All!

I am new here and from VA, I just recently got this willys yesterday and plan on some mods in the immediate future - will be looking for/asking advice in the forums. Plan on running a 35" Tires (stock wheels) and a supporting lift - I love to hit the trails and can't wait to see what my Jeep...
