That reading is low. Fully charged it should show 12.8 volts.
The indication that your battery is failing is right in front of you. The light on the dash and the message are warning you. With the F42 fuse pulled, the startup test is being done on the Main Battery, instead of the Aux, and...
The high current fuse array is on the side of the fuse box. The batteries are paralleled, so the positive cable is always hot. If it touched anything metal while removing the Aux Battery, you blew a fuse in the high current array and it will need replaced (about $65).
According to Jeep, the warranty provider, the fluid is a 'Lifetime' Fill and the transmission does not need service under normal operating conditions. The designer of the transmission recommends a drain and fill somewhere around 75k miles. To get a nearly complete change of all the fluid would...
You can buy the Mopar Extended Warranty from any authorized Jeep dealer. There are several that sell them discounted online. There are multiple threads on here somewhere.
It is making noise, but it still functions. The dealer cannot do anything until it shows a CEL, or stops working.
Anything you do is a risk of warranty denial when it does break.
The only thing you will likely see is ESS remembering on or off across startups on future vehicles. Stellantis is unlikely to put any effort into changing existing vehicles. There is already an aftermarket that handles that.
ESS is part of the system. It cannot be disabled or removed. It...
Still the same. Since you have both, use Jscan for any programming changes and use the Tazer just for the live features. Unmarry the Tazer whenever making changes with Jscan, then remarry when finished.
Unmarry the Tazer. Use Jscan to make all the changes. Then marry the Tazer. That way, all the changes are not lost when the Tazer is unmarried for dealer visits.
Due to US Government requirements, the ESS variation used on the JT/JL resets to on at every startup.
If they were ever to offer the option for it to stay off, it would be an up-front fee equivalent to, or greater than, the government fine for doing so.
I bought my '23 new in February of '24. I did the first change at 3k miles, and then followed the Oil Life monitor down to 3%. I used the two Jeep Wave changes, at around 9k miles in December '24 and around 16k miles in December '25. It runs great with no ticking or other noises.
I'll...
I would give it five or ten minutes. The amount of time it takes to replace the battery is more than enough.
Using another vehicle should get it started, but it will take a lot of driving to charge the battery.
There are a lot of variables, including how charged the battery was when it left the factory, and how long it sat before it was installed. Many drive their vehicle enough that the batteries will get charged within a few days. Without fully charging the batteries and resetting the IBS, it takes...
It calls for five Quarts. Leave it, it is fine. The dip stick is not a precise measuring instrument.
Did you start it and let the oil circulate before checking the level?
There are many devices available to prevent ESS from turning off the engine. Tazer is the most expensive option.
ESS is always active, it cannot be disabled. Pulling the F42 fuse just forces the startup test to look at the Main Battery instead of the Aux Battery.
