Yeah I'm a Toyota owner on the cusp of buying a JT and it gives me pause reading this forum. One way I'm mitigating the issue is buying a 2021(new steering box, even had the salesman send me a pic of box) with the least optioned version. Even that concerns me. But Toyota has nothing that...
Yeah I watched some videos and read some threads saying same. Seems to me if they had figured out how to have a power rear window slide down into rear wall and not be in the top it would have made it a lot simpler operation.
Yeah the pricing is out of control, case in point-my wife's suv has all the safety nannies on all trims....included! On the Jeep you have to buy the S ($4100) plus not one but two safety groups.
What really led me to start questioning all the above was when we went to drive that $47,000 gator...
Be interested in what product of heated seats you are going to use. Looked at OEM steering wheels, still haven't discerned which is a heated one, but I guess I first need to know if there is a plug ready for it(I'm sure it's not that simple though). As for the mirror my current truck has manual...
I decided in Feb to buy a 2 door Wrangler. The thought was to have something fun and keep my Tundra, then I sat in the backseat of one at the dealer. No way my grandkids would be comfortable on the long ride to grandma and grandpa's house not to mention where the bags would go. Then mulled over...
I tried buying while there last week and the one I liked best was Wells Jeep across the bay to the east. Seemed to be straight shooters but didn't have the color I really wanted. They have a Red sports s with max tow with an extra $1000 rebate on top of friends and family.
Well of course but he works at a dealership is seems so I guess he knows how to check, and he's not out to gain anything, plus if I were to buy one I'd check under the skirt to make sure the carpet matched the drapes first.
OK then that confirms sometime during the day 8/14/2020 they changed to the new steel steering box for 2020 models, as @catdaddy63 posted in post #23 that he had a build from 8-14 with new box.
The Max Tow includes the rear trac lok, could I simply(well it doesn't appear to be all that simple) add the ARB to the front axle and have a nice working setup(limit the tire size to 35)?
