KCs and Redlines in Sting Gray Rubis!
Yours is much, much cleaner tho LOL
I also just unscrewed and removed that prop rod. I mostly did it out of spite. I hate those damn things.
Sorta estimated to make some whole numbers easy to add up. But been tracking most of the dollars spent to try and keep it sane. Getting it to $10k isn’t very hard, and happens quickly.
I’ve yet to do all the mods, but also tracking to add a supercharger down the line. So keeping a good track...
Gave it a mudbath, a real bath, and then stripped the hood and installed a hood blackout decal. It’ll be the base to adhere the ordered and “in the mail” Hood Solar Panel kit.
Cascadia VSS Hood Solar Kit.
It’s just 30watts for the Rubi hood, but as its always on, should be plenty for running radios or LED lights or charging up devices onboard
I do believe if you got the towing package you get the bigger batter and alternator as well.
As for the switch, take a look at the Trigger. All in its about $300 for the controller, fuse tap, underhood mount and the interior mount. And will give you 4 switches (that are also Bluetooth...
Unfortunately didn’t take more than this pic of it.
I just eyeballed a spot that had clearance for the bolt and mount, as well as general front to back placement, and copied the measurements to the other side and drilled a hole that was as big as the mounting bolt. It’s fairly soft steel. And...
Oh, I’m a sucker for the backlighting as well there. They are awesome lights, and I am sure worth every cent, as I found my Squadrons to be. So brilliant lights, and bonus they exude cool. So win win :)
And no, no reinforcements. It’s on a stamped ridge, and the mount for the plate is an inch...
And for another comparison. Heres some Squadron Pros (I think in wide cornering, with an amber cover) that I passed on and placed on my mates JK on the A pillar.
I had squadron sports as fogs on my previous truck and they are fantastic lights. Plenty of output. And that they are user changeable even more impressive that after three years, not a lick of moisture in em.
I went KC this time as their Gravity Fogs are just sublime in the fog. They throw...
That’s pretty fair a deal. And I could make use of the set for my trailer to boot. But mamma only gave me a hundred to spend this week. Maybe later I can commit to more. Sorry.
That they did not provide. I think I forgot to ask actually. It’s what they call a warranty part, so something they stock separately so shouldn’t be something crazy. I’d hope.
I just called Rugged Ridge on this as I thought I lost mine, but I eventually found it.
The low mount cover is part number 11756.31W04. And the screws are M6. If you call a rugged ridge retailer/vendor they can order that part number.
Oh hell yeah!! I’ve been dying to get into fabrication and have many of the tools yet, but that is a huge cost savings and a heck of a lot of pride which I value more than spending for a “perfect” produced good.
Thanks for the share! That might be a solid winter project as I can definitely fit...
Hopefully things change! I too did a cost savings detour and started repurposing old gear and moved my “placeholder” RTT over to my utility trailer and starting a budget Adventure trailer build. At the end of the day, I wanted to get out for longer periods, and really this should solve that by...
I gotta say, they had phenomenal chassis. I took the sway bar off and put in some fox coilovers, and that thing was still a beast. It just soaked things up, even potholes mid corner on the freeway, and it never once felt squirrelly or out of line. That and the full time transfer case (which is...
Thanks, but I think I am in the same boat, and will be needing to sell my upcoming build, which is like 14xx. I still really, really want it, but life got interesting over the past year, and had to re-prioritize spending.
Me and a few buddies all happened to pick up Colorados at tue same time. I got a fully loaded Diesel LT crew cab, and they got the ZR2’s or a Denali.
They were quite capable trucks. Handily better than the Ranger and Tacoma which were priced higher, but didn’t quite have the same level of...
