The extra inch of lift on the Mojave over the Rubicon is listed in Jeep’s specs and marketing material, and is visible and measurable at the fenders and bumper.
That’s one hilarious, but sad story!
My JKUR Hard Rock had the Mopar “extended” sliders on it, the ones with the extra tube sticking off the side. It was a regular occurrence to come out of a store and find a little colored paint spot on the side of them with a corresponding dent on the door of...
Shame it’s heavy. Something like that in aluminum would be ideal for my needs. I’m trying to keep my build as light-weight as is reasonable so as not to degrade the Mojave suspension performance.
I put XL/regulars on my Mojave, but I wish I’d gone for XL/long in the front. I have 35s on (stock wheels) and I still have a lot of paint chips on the door hinges and the lower rear body, and my rear flares are very chewed up. I do a lot of miles on dirt and gravel roads at fairly high speeds...
K&N filters flow more air, and thus filter less than the stock paper filter. With an oiled filter I’d be cleaning and re oiling it multiple times in a weekend.
Yes, as mentioned above that’s what I’d love to do, but it’s not an option on the Mojave.
The Mojave has the Pentastar, not the diesel. The issue for snorkels is the different hood and cowl, both of which are taller than all the other models. ?
I’m not liking for more power, noise, or anything like that, just the most effective filter that people have found.
I spend a lot of time in very dusty conditions and I don’t feel like the factory filter does a good enough job of removing the super fine moon dust we have here.
Has anyone found...
Looks good!
I won't get into the debate on the safety or usefulness of Hi-Lift style jacks, but you definitely should never let go of one without the handle being vertical. I've watched them knock people out before.
That’s just not how it works. Politics have nothing to do with any of the prices lately. It’s entirely a coincidence of a massive drop in demand during most of last year (which caused the price drop), causing a subsequent drop in production. When things started to open back up demand spiked...
Hah!
I’m a firm believer of never leaving a vehicle without the hand (or “parking” if it’s a foot pedal) brake engaged. Half a second to do, increases safety, and keeps stress off the parking pawl in the transmission.
Ahh nice, I’d not seen mention of that before. In that case, it seems like a decent idea.
I’ll still go with the hardwired option personally, but that’s just because I always prefer wired over wireless when there’s a choice to be made.
Edit: Shame there’s no modulation on the OEM brake...
The Echo looks like a neat idea, but I would never consider towing a braked trailer without having a manual switch for the brakes at hand. Sure you can press the button on your phone, but you can’t modulate that, and who’s actually going to leave their phone mounted to the dash with the Curt app...
This problem has a very simple solution that doesn’t require spending any money on a Tazer or doing any weird modifications.
Put the truck in ACC mode, turn the headlight dial to “Off”, hit the “screen off” button on the radio, and pull up the handbrake. ACC will keep the radio on, the...
I’d definitely spec the LED lights from the factory. Nothing you buy aftermarket is going to be as good as the OEM lights on these. I’d be shocked if you could buy the OEM head, fog, and tail lights for less than the package price.
