I had a hitch type rack on my prior Jeep and also started out with that on my Gladiator. I got tired of having to move it every time I wanted to put something in the bed. I wasn’t removing it when not transporting bikes. Either will work, just comes down to how you want it to look and function.
I don’t think four will fit the existing direction or that they will work width wise at all unless they are short children’s bikes. Three large bikes will work the direction I have them with two bikes facing one direction and one facing the other way. It will depend on the type of bikes and...
I felt a bit more ride harshness going from the factory C rated tires on my Rubicon to the 37 BFG KO2s D rated but lowered the air pressure to about 32 to get rid of it. I avoided getting E rated tires because they will ride harsh. I have used E rated on other Jeeps and know what they feel like...
Zero degrees in this application is not recommended. If you measure a stock one you will notice it is not zero. Will it fail in the near future probably not, but setting at zero will cause two issues on a Gladiator: 1) the axle spring pad angle comes out of alignment with the frame spring...
Good tires will cost more but pay off in terms of quality. The KO2s will be silent, comfortable, wear well, provide excellent traction, are durable and light tires. Combined with a light wheel, you will not notice a big change in power and can keep the same axle ratio.
The BFG KO2s run small, get 37s for sure in that tire. Its about the size of other 35s and will still fit in the spare tire location. You should also get new wheels. You can sell the factory wheels and tires to help pay for them. You need the correct size wheel and offset for proper tire...
Keep in mind, AEV is one of the few aftermarket product providers who has an OEM style material selection and engineering approach. Thinner looking brackets aren’t always weaker. Its likely they are using better than 1040 medium carbon steel material which can save weight by using a thinner...
They are pretty easy to install. Rock Jock has decent installation instructions to follow however, they don’t always include them with the parts. If they were not included, the installation instructions are available on their website.
I am running 2.5 inch front bump stops with 37 BFG ko2s. It still has tire clearance when fully compressed and I could probably run a 2 inch bump stop with these tires.
They ride great but I have noticed the front is starting to sag. It was nearly level when I put the 4” up front but now the front is lower. I would be happy if I could get the back to sag too but they have not. So I may add a small spacer to the front.
Rear anti-sway bar deletes are done mostly on leaf sprung vehicles with stiff springs that do not lean much when cornering, even without an anti-sway bar. Removing the rear anti-sway bar on a Gladiator is going to cause drivability and highway safety concerns. What perceived problem are you...
Electric is going to eventually be nice too. We should have the best of both to choose from, not one or the other. I will take the V8 but not at around $100k if that ends up being the case. I have a feeling it will be a special edition only, rather than an engine option on all models.
