  1. Cold Weather Comfort - EcoD v Pentastar

So in theory a diesel will be slower to warm up to a the pasture that creates warmth from the heater core. not sure exacty with the eco diesel cause I haven’t taken delivery of mine yet but on my 4th gen ram it was preprogrammed in the computer to kick high idle on under 40*F as well as turn the...
  2. Next Round of Incentives & Offers Post December?

I would love to know as well since I will most likely be taking delivery of my rubicon diesel next month and there is no current incentives on it.
  3. Def fill? 2100 miles?

There's an issue. Unless your actually getting 10mpg then your def consumption is at least double what you should be seeing. I would start hand calculating and logging on paper what your getting fuel and def mileage.
  4. How long it would take Diesel Engine MPG to pay for itself

100k warranty plus I believe emissions equipment is extended. If you buy a ecodiesel or the mini van motor to keep for the rest of your life, your probably buying the wrong truck. Its not a toyota with a 22R.
  5. How long it would take Diesel Engine MPG to pay for itself

Fake news. If you drive a mile to work and back you might get a forced regen that eats up a little fuel but that's once in a blue moon at best. Typically you'll regen while driving and wont notice a loss in mileage at all.
  6. How long it would take Diesel Engine MPG to pay for itself

I ordered a diesel cause I drove both. Would have paid more than the $4000 upgrade cause I wanted a gladiator and for me the power of the pentastar is unacceptable. I don't care much about the reliability as its under warranty. If its junk I'll get something else before the warranty is up...
  7. First real world review of the Gladiator Rubicon Diesel

makes me winder what issues they have or what politics have to play here. That’s complete crap. “Scary” lmao. There’s a few guys on YouTube who addressed it who actually have one as well as more people daily doing towing tests on them and no one except these guys have had anything remotely close...
  8. Available lifts or ones that will be shortly?

That’s shitty for sure. Was this a couple years ago local jeep shop said they had issues in the beginning but ironed out the issues in the last year or two. Not many options for adjustable rebound without spending a fortune on custom external bypass shocks, then they are also loud. A rebound...
  9. Available lifts or ones that will be shortly?

interested in feedback and appreciate you chiming in. The problem with king shocks is typically they just provide the hardware. A company like Carli or whoever tell them what calving they want. So it’s hard to blame king for ride quality. I’ve ridden in a ram with thuren suspension and kings and...
  10. Insert_Clever_Name_Here EVO 4.5/38's (for now) Stage 3 completed

Love the setup. Have you had it offroad at all? Wondering how the suspension feels on dirt roads etc?
  11. First real world review of the Gladiator Rubicon Diesel

It would be more beneficial to the community as a whole to not have someone get all passive aggressive and push their views on others. We get it, you don't like the ecodiesel. I don't like the minivan motor and I assume many others who are buying the diesel feel similar, yet you don't see anyone...
  12. Available lifts or ones that will be shortly?

Suspension isn’t rocket science so I’m sure most of these companies have decent stuff. Ride quality is most typically reliant on the shocks more than anything. Based on specs the icon shocks don’t offer anything the other companies don’t. The best bang for the buck would be, and hopefully will...
  13. Available lifts or ones that will be shortly?

I’ve been told you can’t run the icons reservoir shocks on the diesel because of the battery tray location. Also what makes you think icon rides better than anyone else? Something specific?
  14. First real world review of the Gladiator Rubicon Diesel

People should though. 285hp in a rig that’s over 5k is unacceptable. It’s fine if it’s the base motor for chicks to load up their Prada in but for a vehicle that can be optioned to almost 70 grand I think it’s a little bit nuts. Particularly coming from a branch of a company that puts out a...
  15. Nice honest review on EcoDiesel

Honestly I think a lot of guys who own the pentastar have some ego involved here. Had I bought one last year I would have wanted the diesel, I ordered the diesel and if a v8 comes out next year I’ll want the v8 cause the ecodiesel is still underwhelming imo. Due to emissions I’m sure but none...
  16. TFL got a JTR Eco Diesel... 1st video review.

It’s not a 3% difference, na loses power too. You can justify it how you want. I’ve seen jl’ son the dyno at elevation and in 37’s and they rarely hit over 140hp and similar tq to the wheels . That’s pathetic.
  17. TFL got a JTR Eco Diesel... 1st video review.

my post was for Mac in response to him saying perceived differences. If it’s not for you it’s not for you but there’s a definitive difference between the two motors that shouldn’t be dismissed. I’m glad they offered it cause IF it stays reliable it’s a great solution. I would struggle to own the...
  18. TFL got a JTR Eco Diesel... 1st video review.

There's no perception when it comes to power. If you do the math its not a lot more for a whole lot more usable power. $21 per ft lbs of tq difference. If you do 37's on both your talking about getting 12mpg on the gasser and still over 20mpg with the diesel. You can narrow that gap with gearing...
  19. First real world review of the Gladiator Rubicon Diesel

I notice your in the diesel section a lot. Seems like you have an interest in either wanting one or shitting on them to make you feel better about owning the minivan motor. Which ultimately started out as junk and had several years of major issues. Is it acceptable that fca had a bunch of...
