I am strongly looking at this as my lift of choice and was wondering who has it, and what do you think about it? Am I going to tear the boot off my stock front drive shaft? My JT is my DD and really only sees wheeling on a rare occasion ( 2 - 3 times a year), currently running an inch and a half...
Have you installed the lift yet, and if so, what do think about it? I am looking at the same lift or possibly the next one down (3.5" / 2") and kinda have the same concern with the shocks.
That's a great question! I don't think that the E-Disco on the Rubicon limits your ability to fully flex, but I have been wrong before. I'll follow this thread to see what information comes up.
Thank You for clarifying , I was looking for the right way, without being harsh!
I bought, should I say ordered, my Rubicon a year ago and got it exactly the way "I" wanted it, it's "YOUR" Jeep, build it the way "YOU" want it, "YOU" are paying for it!
Oh yeah, it's a year later and 14,000...
Sorry for the slow reply we are on AMI for a little R&R! Texas is a huge state, some 850 miles across, lots of different terrain, the beaches in far south Texas rival some in Florida. The weather is pretty much the same, with the exception of the afternoon showers in Florida, in Texas we can go...
Welcome! I'm from Winter Haven, but now live in Houston, TX. This picture was from Feb. when I brought this '49 Willys from Texas to my brothers in Winter Haven!
I think you will find that it tows great, or at least that has been my experience ! Towed this '49 to my brothers in central Florida in Feb., the truck had a little over 3000 miles on it when I left. Towed like a dream, MPG sucked, but that was to be expected.
1 1/2" Daystar leveling kit, 2" bump stops, rear totally stock. Running 37 x 12.5 x 17 Patagonia M/T's on AEV Borah wheels with red rash rings (Fully capable to be beadlocks), no rubbing even at full flex!
My concern would be the fact that it's a 4" lift, and no mention of drive shaft replacement. Looks like a pretty solid kit otherwise, as far as shocks go, you'd probably be better off getting Bilstein's or similar.
