  1. Frustration with off road speciality shop shortcut

This is the first time I did not install items myself. Everything in my signature I have installed in my driveway except for todays additions. I bought the steer smart items from the shop and figured might as well have them install while I was there. With the purchase they were happy to also...
  2. Frustration with off road speciality shop shortcut

Long story short I went to a highly recommended specialty off road shop to diagnose and fix death wobble. Shop was a hour and a half each way trip. I purchased a steer smart drag link and steer smart track bar from the shop. I also brought in a falcon steering stabilizer new in box that I...
  3. Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, Shimmy, Wander, Drift, Bump Steer

I have the Mopar lift lower control arms. All other control arms are stock.
  4. Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, Shimmy, Wander, Drift, Bump Steer

My DW saga so far. After tightening up the front end and having tires rebalanced, the DW continued. Instead of throwing random parts and money at the issue I asked around local Jeep groups for a recommended shop. A particular shop was mentioned several times. This shop is on paper an hour and...
  5. 2025 Mojave X

    Wow. What a truck.
  6. 2025 Mojave X

What are you looking at for the trade in amount?
  7. 2025 Mojave X

I have not followed all the messages/threads. Is the new mojave getting the snow plow? Are you having to strip down your current JT back to stock? Assuming you are training/selling current JT. Damn a new Mojave would be awsome.
  8. Leaking coolant at reservoir

I’m going to guess we all have a corner in the garage with all the you never know Jeep stuff. Off the top of my head I have my original front and rear bumper, set of red shocks and front springs from my stock Willy’s, set of rubicon take off springs/control arms/end links, fender light assembly...
  9. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Interesting, maybe something I pick up for the next hose/clamp repair. I only have traditional pliers and needle nose pliers. No angled pliers.
  10. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Connector has a metal clip that can be undone with a small screwdriver. But the clip could only be released from the other side which I could not see. I did not change out the entire hose, but I had to buy the entire hose to get the dang connector. That connection piece can not be ordered as a...
  11. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Thats the clamp. I could not get my big hands and pliers on the clip from above so I had to come underneath through the wheel well.
  12. Leaking shock…what limits droop when on a lift

My drivers side bilstein B8 5100 shock is leaking. The shock has been on the truck for about ten months. Northridge has issued a warranty replacement. The question is what limits droop when a jeep is suspended on a lift. I noticed the failed shock after getting new tires installed at Costco...
  13. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Repair is done I ordered a new coolant take and unfortunately had to order the entire hose assembly to get a new bottom coolant tank connection. Fix turned into a larger job as I could not get to a hose clamp from the engine bay. I took the drivers side wheel off and removed the fender liner...
  14. Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, Shimmy, Wander, Drift, Bump Steer

What's your opinion on the life span of the factory ball joints? The great internet seems to come up with a general number of 60-70kish miles. Of course, individual usage makes a big difference. My usage so far has been 80% in town driving, 10% interstate driving, and 10% forest service road...
  15. Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, Shimmy, Wander, Drift, Bump Steer

I will have to do some research on achieving the degrees with my current tools. It’s a little confounding to think a manufacturer would expect the average owner to keep up with some of these things. I would assume that even a complete stock vehicle would eventually have hardware loose over time...
  16. Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, DW, Death Wobble, Shimmy, Wander, Drift, Bump Steer

48k miles on my 2021 Willy’s. Zero issues up until this morning. Hit a bump at around 40 mph and bam DW. Very jarring moment and a first time for me. Last week Costco installed four new Firestone destination xt stock size. I also noticed my front drivers side shock is leaking. Shock is on order...
  17. Leaking coolant at reservoir

48k miles. No flush or service at all for the radiator system. So far I have been using the dealership for oil changes until the power train warranty runs out. When I ask about service intervals during oil change service, they say they are going by the book for service intervals.
  18. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Hoping that’s not case on mine. The drip on control arms are directly below the reservoir and that reservoir/hose connection looks really suspicious with it being wet and signs of dried coolant from previous evaporation. I do worry that maybe something else in the system is the issue causing too...
  19. Leaking coolant at reservoir

If so it’s doing way too much weeping. I noticed the issue when I found coolant dripping off my lower control arm. The bottle had just a smidge of fluid left in it. I added more coolant and that level has also dropped after two drives. I have a new bottle and hose/connector on order. I will...
  20. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Do you have part number that was the ultimate fix?
