I love this option, but the driver’s front seat bolts are not level on the gladiator... I’ve been meaning to figure out how to mount something like this in that position.
Ah yes... Good point. Need to confirm on the sunrider option.
there is a mount option for that grab handle. Let me see if I find it and I’ll post a picture.
So I'm working on a few different pieces for the gladiator. Some pretty major exterior stuff, and some pretty cool interior stuff.
Here is a peek at some of the interior stuff:
1) This first image is a mounting rail that would go behind the shifter. It's some solid mounting. This is straight...
yikes! good thing you got it. That was a painful install.... hopefully you don't have to adjust it - twice, like in my case
The second time I adjusted it I didn't even add the second bolt. I was so annoyed :lipssealed:
6000 miles, no issues
I've seen two other similar fires in my lifetime - both were due to "improper" electrical installations of aftermarket components.
But I agree, no use panicking just yet :)
Although I do have a fire extinguisher mounted in the bed, just in case.
I've thought about that - actually I really need like a sun deflector in the lower part of the dash. Man when I drive in the morning the reflection off the hood is soooo bad sometimes.
Thanks for all the replies folks. This whole process has been taking a lot longer than I thought/hoped. But it's been a fun ride for sure. I love my new garage/workshop and using some parts of my brain that have been dormant for a bit.
As I've been riding around and using the slide and base...
I've tried to order these and have not found the right part - I'm on item like 4 that I get and return.
If I do discover the right part number I will post it here.
I have not done much in the last few weeks because I've been focused on this:

Hopefully as that takes shape I'll have more to add here.
I appreciate the responses, questions and all that. Here's a little sneak peak :ninja:. As I mentioned before, the base already exists, I'm refining it's versatility with some additional prototypes. Here is a super duper alpha/prelim version of the slide on top of the base. And of course...
I like the base camp name - I'm going to let that simmer a bit and see if it sticks.
The skins idea is interesting... noted...
Also - yes - kitchens are EXPENSIVE.
Warranty and Support are great questions. I have some ideas, still working that out in my head, but I'll post something soon about...
There's been A LOT going on in my life the last 3 months or so. I did stop posting, mostly because I've been grooming this idea...
Full Disclosure: I'm not just Ralph with a Gladiator anymore. I'm Ralph trying to startup a second business to sell some pretty cool stuff. Very soon in the next...
