I don't know which ones it came on. I was really just looking for a 2 door manual for a toy and I needed something to drive while my Gladiator is down. I lucked out when I found this one I think. I drove a few hundred miles yesterday and it ran great. It has the hard rock package. I know...
The shop I am working with have been great. I am getting a Dana 60 at their cost and they are installing it. The owner said going forward he will warn gladiator owners of this possibility. It is an impossible situation. I have had no luck two other issues fixed from 2 different dealers, so I...
I have owned a four door in the past but Saturday I bought a 2016 2 door rubicon hard rock. Got a good deal and wanted something in a stick to teach my daughters. Still love my truck.
I bought 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock since I am still waiting on my axle for my Gladiator. I miss my truck so much but this tiny Jeep will be fun as a spare. It's a manual, so that is cool.
Yukon said some of the Gladiator rear diffs were machines oblong but slightly enough they were fine with stock gears and the noise shows up with gear change. I thought it might be bullshit at first but looking at the wear marks on the first bearing set, I see it may be true. I had absolutely...
The wear was on tow sides of the bearing. My pinion seal failed as well, and its the second set of gears and bearings. I ordered a spicer axle and am waiting on that to come in. I just want to be finished with this nightmare. I want my truck back. I hope this takes care of any other issues.
Believe me, I wish you could see it as well. I am beyond frustrated. Bottom line is I spent a shit ton of money to have it re-geared and since may or June, nightmare. I wish I could just order a jeep with different gears. It's stupid they don't offer it.
I don't know. I'm still in this hell. They replaced gears again and same noise. The old bearing had funny wear on it. I will get more details when I go back to the shop. Very frustrating. I need my truck to take a trip and I can't use it. 3.73 were not bad enough with 35s to put up with...
Mine didn't make noise until I changed to 4.56. Yukon sent replacement gears and same noise. We were told by Yukon that some of these housing have a manufacture defect that sometimes shows up when you change gears. It's a slight harmonic hum at 40 to 50 miles per hour. I don't know if this...
I am dealing with a rear axle issue since changing gears. I need to find a stock axle but hard to find. It's my rationalization for wanting a 2 door again. After some searching, found this LJ. It's an inline 6 with a 6 speed. No rust that I could see. Picking it up tomorrow.
I can keep the...
I didn't think about the low HP but I can say, my first car was a 72 duster, then I had a Swinger, then another duster. All slant sixes and all had well over 100k. The bodies were falling apart but engines still running. I'm probably being nostalgic. My first car was my Duster and I worked...
Why? because I wouldn't put it past a manufacturer to use light oil for gas mileage. They don't care if the engine last past 100K, they just need it to make it 60K. Remember the slant six? bullet proof engine and they quit making it. Just an example. I use the recommend oil, I'm just saying...
Yes, I am the drummer. I think it is a hair off. We played in the barn to the track but it was freezing cold and couldn’t hear well. I hit hard, so we had duck tape and towels on the drums to muffle them. We also only paid 5 or 6 hundred for the whole thing. It turned out better than I...
