  1. Steering binding in 4lo

Thank you! I'll have to check it out!
  2. Winch Line Extension Length

I'm pretty set on my recovery gear, but was wanting to add a winch line extension to my kit and was wondering what you all normally carry? I have a 12k Badlands Apex, that comes with a 80' rope (Obviously, you can't use all 80' though as you'd need to leave several wraps on the drum). I recently...
  3. Steering binding in 4lo

Lmao...yup! Ironically, my steering is SteerSmarts, and I'm now on Patagonia's now too!
  4. Steering binding in 4lo

I did the same a while back and couldn't be happier. Even with 38's on beadlocks aired waaaay down, it's still a breeze to steer, even with the front diff locked. I smile, but still cringe as it wasn't a cheap upgrade. I added Reed knuckles and Baller' joints at the same time. My only real...
  5. Diesel Tuners Indicted for smuggling...

I find it odd that most smog-related modifications come with the "For Off Road Use" disclaimer, yet it's never the consumer that they go after, when it's the consumer who actually commits the violation. My thoughts on that are because the consumer doesn't have a large pile of money; the...
  6. Method 703 wheels: Any pics of your stance or tire poke with these?

    Here's an update: 3.5" lift, on 17x9-12mm beadlocks with 38x13.50 Patagonia MT02's.
  7. Method 703 wheels: Any pics of your stance or tire poke with these?

Custom Offset has a website with a gallery you can filter vehicle, tire size, lift and wheel offset. Here's a pic of mine with 3.5" lift, 37's on some -12mm offset wheels.
  8. Slider with step functionality

I was in the same boat. I didn't plan on adding any steps until my wife complained. I run the MetalCloak Sliders with a 3.5 lift on 38's. They only provide a couple inches of drop, but my wife is happy with them. I flip them around for wheeling trips to add a tad more clearance. Or, you can...
  9. Labor cost for Clayton 2.5 install

That does sound high. $1700 for 5 hours comes out to $340 an hr. My 3.5" Metalcloak GameChanger labor install was 11hrs and cost $1320.
  10. 35's vs 37's?

My only input on the 35's vs 37's would be if you tow anything bigger than just a small utility trailer, unless you plan on a regear. A diesel might pull it off, but the 3.6 gasser would have a tough time with it.
  11. Lets see all those Gladiators with lifts and bigger tires!

    2023 JTR with a 3.5" MetalCloak Gamechanger lift, on 38" Patagonia's.
  12. Gladiator Recovery Assist Pictures: The Hall of Shame

Hell ya, me too! That's the greatest attribute to the Gladiator; room to carry them all.
  13. Adams Drive Shaft Going Back For Re-tube

For sure, the Adam's I run works great on the 3.5" MC Gamechanger I run. That's what the shop I use recommend. They said that folks with the one piece had reported clearance issues.
  14. Gladiator Recovery Assist Pictures: The Hall of Shame

True... However, the ability to lock the spade at a 90, makes is convenient to "drag" mud/snow out from underneath a vehicle. They also have other uses. Ask any GI that's spent any time in the field about the "E-Tool Lean". Lol
  15. Adams Drive Shaft Going Back For Re-tube

I'm just curious, was this a one piece, or two piece driveshaft? I have a Adam's full 1350 two piece and absolutely no vibration.
  16. Which looks better?

Unless I missed someone else mentioning it, the purpose of a stubby is to improve approach angle. It allows you to turn into an almost vertical climb that a wide bumper simply will not allow. If that's not a concern, then put on whatever turns you on.
  17. Which looks better?

This. Anything sticking up or out is really in the way when working on anything under the hood.
  18. Gladiator Recovery Assist Pictures: The Hall of Shame

My brother had some issues on the "Test Track" at Merus Adventure Park out in Texas. His 35's wouldn't allow him to clear his front diff on the ruts. That, and it was dry, dusty and slick.
