I was stuck on painted fenders for a few days. I had painted fenders on my old jeep and they got a little chewed up over the years - especially the fronts with rocks. I was dead set on going with black fenders, but then as I kept seeing them in person I realized they were either faded, or just...
Climate debate aside - at what point does it end? Air quality has never been better and that is a fact. No one is dropping dead outside because of air quality and neither was anyone 30 years ago. So why must we keep placing restrictions on ourselves to meet what exactly? If there was a goal to...
With the diesel you can get there surprisingly fast and when it kicks in it almost feels like the brakes got put on. You can cruise up to 97 mph in the diesel without it ever even coming out of 8th gear with just light throttle. Compared to my 3.8 JKU I actually have to worry about speeding.
I just don't let tacos near me - problem solved. I just put my foot to the floor in my diesel and let them know what they're missing.
Just kidding, but I have had 1 F250 roll coal on us with my wife behind the wheel.
From what I read, the 12V cord that was removed is still back there and is long enough to route to the center console. You just need to find it and route it where you want it - no additional hardness needed.
As a an actual life long NJ resident I have never seen, or heard of it being enforced nor have I ever seen said inspection sticker. So I'm going to venture out on a limb and say it's not enforced. Maybe if you got pulled over and the the cop wanted to bust your balls he could, but that would...
As someone who just dealt with them for a buy back on my JK I can tell you they will fold. They will only fight it for as long as it’s going to cost them to foot the bill to replace it. It makes no sense for them to pay lawyers on their end tens of thousands on a warranty claim that’s only going...
I think this is a pretty big concern, but think this will solve itself in due time. The Ecodiesel seems to be a very popular option for the JT in general (more so than the Ram 1500) so hopefully a higher uptick will force dealers to have techs in place. That said, I will never go to the dealer...
In my opinion you can't beat them for the money. I don't have experience with them on a gladiator but I put them on my JKU with 233K and they're better then the last 3 sets I went through including rubicon take offs and some monroes. Yes they're stiffer, but I personally think the stock ones are...
This 100x. I did it purely for the driving experience with the extra power. If they didn't have a diesel option and just had a 5.7 hemi option for $4K I would have went with that for the same reason despite the atrocious MPGs it would get. The MPGs with the diesel are just an added bonus.
I wish. I haven't come close to those numbers in mine yet. I did 178mi on Sunday out to Cabela's in PA from NJ and only averaged 22.5 mpgs all highway doing 75 mph, but it was still climbing on the way home. Also didn't help as I was in the boost going up a lot of hills, but mine isn't broken in...
Has anyone identified the spring numbers causing the issue? Interesting we don't hear about the same issue with the 4xe Wranglers since it's 900 lbs heavier than the gas and more than double the additional weight of the Diesel.
My JTRD has bottomed out one time hitting a dip off road at about...
This has been my experience after the first week of ownership. It's only gotten down to about 10-15F at night, but start up is rather uneventful. My 09 JKU sounds much worse starting in the cold.
So this was my experience. I drove a JK with halogens which is equivalent to candle light for about 180K miles and decided it was time to get a set of JW Speakers since my lenses were getting pretty bad. Once I upgraded and actually realized what I was missing it was amazing I hadn't hit anyone...
That's why the 2022s now honk 3 times when you jump out with the fob while it's running. It's absolutely maddening as there is no way to turn it off. I turned off all my honks for locking & remote start, but that one you can't.
From what I found on the net (can't remember where) it was 55/45 and was the best for any mid-size truck. I'm sure that is probably better than any full size truck as well. I was pleasantly surprised as well and I have a Diesel and it still feels pretty balanced comparing it to my JK. I will...
