  1. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

Well, I don’t think the idea of subsidies was to cover the entire costs of raising a child. These subsidies come from tax payers, ultimately, and my position has always been that if someone can’t afford to pay to raise a child then then don’t have them. I know to some that may sound harsh, but...
  2. Mopar Front End Cover (Cold/Winter)

I had a 2016 Ram Eco-diesel, and I found that cooling system to be more stable. I find the Gladiator has overall higher EO temps; and the coolant runs colder. This is especially true in the winter. The Ram would run consistently in all kinds of weather maintaining 100 C on the coolant and the...

Strange to me that they are really expensive. I buy bamboo dish wash cloths that come in a roll of 40 and that roll costs $4.00. Now, certainly there is more manufacturing to make a diaper, but that roll could likely make 10 diapers for newborns. A roll of 40 has usage for me at about 1 per...

No, dude no one I know of is attacking your viewpoint. As issues arise through posts, people comment on them. Some get carried away with vitriol, however they are a minority. And to answer your post, I agree no one said manufacturing windmills was green. But that is the point. The vast majority...
  5. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

Not an illusion but a blight on the planet nevertheless. And no, manufacturing these is not green. How do I know? 47 years worked in the mining and oil industries.
  6. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

It was predicted 10 years ago by a geology professor at Simon Fraser U and, coincidentally thatyear by several Russian university climate researchers that we would have a major cooling period in the timeframe of 2022 - 2036. The geology was based on ice core samples that enabled predictions...

Not normally would this be a zero energy state the vehicle is in. Most often you will need a/c. Or maybe heat. There is no free lunch in watts.
  8. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

Yes that is true. However, politicians are notorious tax-grab artists and I think in the next few years the hammer will come down through the registration process. At some point there will be a balance, and then it will swing again one way, the other, or more likely, both ICE and EV will have to...

When and how much do you pay for road taxes that ICE vehicles pay when fuelling? I read that some states have already implemented such taxes at annual registration renewals For EV’s.One state I believe is at least $600.00/year. Add to that current charge times, voltages and $/kw hour and I...

Yes, and the most invested in alternative energy source research currently is hydrogen. I can see this as a serious competitor to EV.
  11. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

I used the word billions loosely. It is 10’s to hundred billions regardless of the mix of power sources. Also, note in my details on the left of the post I am in Alberta.
  12. Mopar Front End Cover (Cold/Winter)

I just went online to Mopar Canada to order one these covers. It was discounted to $156.00 BUT, shipping was going to be $94.00. Going to see what the dealer wants for one.
  13. Jeep ceo…. Wants zero emission freedom brand

I am relaxed about the whole EV taking over concept. Won’t happen. There is not enough power capacity/infrastructure to accommodate everyone driving electric. And, to be clear, no one has committed billions to upgrade as we speak. California has a relatively small % of vehicles on the road that...
  14. Who owns this beauty?

He would be ticketed here for not strapping every wheel.
  15. Mopar Front End Cover (Cold/Winter)

We have had night time lows of -30C to -40C here for a week. Daytime highs -24C. I had to put cardboard over the 3 center grill openings to maintain 95C coolant temp. I will buy a front cover, or, “winter front” as they are known here. Am investigating FIA out of Winnipeg who claim to sell one...
  16. 8 Speed Auto Transmission slipping problems at 13,000 miles (3rd time in for repairs)

Hey Papa, some confusion might exist around the detail that the gas and diesel have different ZF models/designations. Not sure, but it is a possibility.
  17. 8 Speed Auto Transmission slipping problems at 13,000 miles (3rd time in for repairs)

Well you did say in the op that you bought it new. Obviously many/some don’t read the posts before commenting. Sorry for your trans issues, but as pointed out these transmissions are really very good. Unfortunately even the best fail sometimes. There are not a lot of failures of these to compare to.
  18. Service DEF system see dealer warning message

I notice your coolant temp at 204F. Does it ever climb higher during regular driving ie. not towing? I can’t get mine over 95C in normal driving.
