  1. The Gladiator IS the most American made truck

…and my Model Y is second overall after the Model 3!
  2. We are driving around the world in our Jeep Gladiator we call DAUNTLESS

Eric that was a fantastic part of your trip. That last wild camp is why I want to return to Chile. It is a beautiful country. A couple of questions: - What happened to Dauntlessā€˜ oil leak? - What cell service are you using? I tried using an eSIM last time I was down there but didn’t have much...
  3. Aftermarket, Third Party Warranties: Yes? No? Maybe?

A good friend of mine used to own the second largest aftermarket warranty company in the US. He had a G5 and his own pilot on standby 24/7. He took me to lunch one day in Phoenix (from VA). It was a VERY lucrative business. He sold the company about 8 years ago and now buys and sells rare...
  4. Magnaflow dual exit street series catback with Banks Ram Air.

Any drone at around 2000-2500 RPM?
  5. Goose Gear Rear Seat delete - Carpet/Rubber Pattern

Don’t use 3/4 plywood. What Goose Gear and I use (I was the one with the template a couple of years ago) is 1/2ā€ Baltic Birch plywood. In normal 1/2ā€ plywood you’ll have either 3 or 4 plies. In Baltic Birch plywood you’ll get 7 or 8 thin layers that provide incredible strength but at the same...
  6. Show your Sunrise photo

Great topic! I’ve got a ton of them but this one was a surprise for us. We were leaving a friends house in Switzerland after Overlanding with them in Algeria and just had to stop to take in this view of the Swiss Alps!
  7. Time for new shocks.

It’s interesting reading all the comments about the Bilstein’s being considered a ā€œbudgetā€ shock. They’re far from that IMHO and I’ve been running them on various vehicles for over 20 years. Yes you can pay more and get fancy remote reservoir shocks (and Bilstein sells those too) but you just...
  8. GPS - but how?

Thats not necessarily correct.. If you use apps like Gaia, onX, maps.me etc. you can download areas your traveling to ahead of time and use them without cell service. I've been very happy with maps.me all over the world. It has things like hiking trails as well as offroad trails. Then connect...
  9. Standard (Imperial) or Metric Sockets?

    Agree! Hereā€˜s a great starter set… https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-12-in-drive-sae-and-metric-impact-socket-set-37-piece-68011.html
  10. šŸš— Father’s Day Giveaway – Share a Memory, Win a 3Wliners floor mat! šŸ’™

Great topic! I have two memories about my Dad and cars. Both involve an Austin Healy Sprite that he bought in the ā€˜60’s. The first was the typical Sunday drive that was popular back in the day in which families would load up the kids and go somewhere. In our case it was usually to see friends...
  11. 3.6 pentastar 2020 major problems - Is the newer engine better in 2025 etc.

What I can’t seem to figure out (and it seems no one else can) is why the vast majority of these failure occurs on the right side. You would think that both sides would have been designed and machined the same way but the data would indicate otherwise. If the Jeep engineers actually knew the...
  12. North Carolina New Rubicon spare tire

    Yes. I still have it.
  13. Gulf of America to Arctic Ocean-Canada to Alaska trip coming June 2!

^^^ It’s crazy how many fires there’s been over the last couple of years! The last time we were in western Canada in ā€˜20 I don’t remember any fire smoke. But maybe we were just lucky. Are these fires mostly man made or by lightning strikes etc?
  14. Just ordered this knock off steel bumper

^^^ How was the install? Can you provide any more detailed pictures? How was the skid plate install? Thanks and congrats!
  15. Value of my JTR

I think a Gladiator with the AEV package is somewhat of a specialty item. Does the dealer you bought it from have any used ones for sale? If not, try going to Carvana and see if they value the AEV package or not. Then use that pricing accordingly.
  16. FULL DISCLOSURE: I did something stupid and dodged the bullet

^^^^ I agree. As a small business owner of almost 40 years I can tell you with 100% certainty that employees (and owners) do make honest mistakes. The difference between a good company and a shitty one is how they treat their customer when they find out. I built my construction company into...
