    Just stirring the pot!!
  2. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

Just for grins I asked Grok if the Gladiator was getting a V8 and the ā€œanswerā€œ was… Yes, the Jeep Gladiator is getting a V8 engine option. Key Details • Engine: The 6.4-liter HEMI V8 (392 cubic inches), the same as in the Wrangler Rubicon 392. It delivers approximately 470 horsepower and...
  3. Camping with your Gladiator

My son is going to Ft. Polk this weekend for a month of training and will be out in the woods most of that time. I told him you have no idea of how hot and humid it can be until you’ve spent time in LA!
  4. Why not Jeep???

I would love to get my hands on a .gov diesel engine without all the DPF, EGR etc. crap on it. I bet it would run great! There is a company near me that up-armor’s vehicles for .gov and various NGO’s around the world. They are mostly Toyota Land Cruisers 70 and 80 Series. I went in and asked...
  5. Why not Jeep???

I’ve seen them as I live near some of Bragg’s training areas. The chassis is noticeably wider than the Gladiator and again Jeep doesn’t offer a diesel so how could they compete?
  6. Why not Jeep???

Didn’t read all the posts but the two reasons that pop up to me is that Jeep doesn’t offer a diesel anymore and the interior space of the Jeep is smaller than the Chevy. Trying to put 4 guys ā€œinsideā€ where our interior is in full battle gear is a no go.
  7. 1400 Miles Post - Cam Shaft/Rocker Replacement… CEL & TICK

Just curious for those that have had this fixed at the dealer. What Are they charging for this repair if it’s not under warranty? I want to start saving my penny’sšŸ˜‚
  8. Wonder why your car insurance goes up.

Actually it looks like post 18 has a short and sweet video on how to do it. When I gat my Jeep back later this week I’ll give it a try.
  9. Wonder why your car insurance goes up.

So has anyone created a tutorial specific to our Gladiator?
  10. Official EcoDiesel Oil and Filter Recommendations

I probably have as much T6 as you do but since I need 14 quarts per oil change on my 6.7 Powerstroke I’m thinking I should pick up a few more gallons!! On another note what are your thoughts on trying to find something like Valvoline Restore & Protect for diesels? I don’t know if there is such...
  11. First oil change 3.6 2026 Mojave 1196 mi

The motor oil geek has a series of videos outlining his OCI on his new truck. Very interesting.
  12. Let AI Roast Your Jeep šŸ”„

Here’s what Grok had to say… Roast incoming. Bro, you took a perfectly good mall-crawler Rubicon, slapped a hardshell tent on top like a cheap apartment, and then parked it next to a 500-ton red rock that’s been more impressive for 10,000 years than your Jeep will ever be. That gray color...
  13. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

I have probably owned over 50 diesel vehicles in my construction company, from Mack, CAT all the way down to Ford and yes Jeep. I loved my WK2 Ecodiesel it was my vehicle to take clients around with. If it wasn’t for the fact that I wanted to take my Gladiator into Mexico where they (at the...
  14. What’s the best trip you’ve taken in your Gladiator so far?

There’s been a few but one of the more memorable trips we took was the White Rim Trail…
  15. Information Sources for Jeep Gladiator Maintenance & Repair

That first link is very interesting! It lists the specifications of what an oil needs to qualify for approval of MS-6395 and list which oils have that approval… but… the oil weights not only include 0W-20 but 5W-30 and even 10W-30!! It also includes the manufacturers that produce those oils...
  16. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

While I would love a V8 the issue as I see it is that even though Jeep charges a premium for the Gladiator it has the weakest power plant in the group. So that for those of us that do more than commute the lack of decent power is an issue. just for comparison here are the HP/torque values...
  17. 0w 20 or 5w 30

A lot of guys run the recommended oil during warranty and then switch.
  18. 0w 20 or 5w 30

I love oil threads!! One point that hasn’t been brought up yet is that after only a few thousand miles ALL oils will start to shear to one degree or another. That means that what has started out as a 20 weight oil at operating temperature may be operating as a 15 or even a 10 weight oil if left...
  19. evo 32 gal fueltank

^^^ To each their own. For me I didn’t want to have all that weight behind the wheels and there’s a lot more to it as far as wiring and plumbing is concerned.
