I’ve gone 150 twice and 120 once. Current one has 30. I wouldn’t stress it. None of mine have ever seen a shop and all ran fantastic when I got rid of them. All were wheeled pretty hard too and just regular maintenance kept them perfect.
I’ve done the synergy setup and it worked well, but o
I now have the metal cloak shaft brace and track bar reinforcement.
The steer smarts/synergy/etc are a pain in the arse because you completely drop the steering box and the have to manhandle it back in place. I screwed up threads on one hole...
Wire gauge depends on length of run due to a combination of total current and the ever increasing resistance over distance.
The winch wires are plenty at 2 gauge as it’s not a long run of wire.
Solenoid location doesn’t matter as long as it’s big enough to support the current. I have a 200a running my bed mounted compressor and it’s right beside the compressor in the bed with plastic nut protectors over the connections just in case something hits it so it won’t arc.
0g is a bit...
I built my own air system. I used a Napa dual head compressor and a 3 gallon air tank. A 90-120 pressure switch that’s tied inline with my in cab switch and that fires a 200a relay. Main power is a 4g OFC from battery to relay and relay to compressor.
Using a 4 at a time air hose system, I can...
I’m in 8th at 50-55 mph and most. Light throttle maybe 45. That’s on 40’s. On 37’s it never downshifted unless it was an incredibly long hill that was pretty steep. On 40’s it will downshift to 7th on hills, maybe even 6th depending on speed, but everywhere else is 8th.
Don’t fear the gear. I...
I’ve always done every 10k with royal purple and a wix filter. I’ve got a cubic butt ton of miles on 4 different 3.6’s over the past 10 years and never had one give me a single hiccup.
5k isn’t hurting anything, but it’s unnecessary.
Everyone says this, but I’ve had 4of them, jk’s, jl’s, and jt.
Over 450k between the 4 and never a trip to the shop, ever. 150 on 2, 120 on one, and 35 on my current one.
I would do it long enough to get the 5.13’s in it.
People that tell you “it’s fine” must not have driven a properly geared ride. I didn’t even enjoy 4.10’s with 35’s in my wife’s JLUR. Constant shifting and revving to the moon to motivate it to move.
5.13’s are the happy place for 37 and larger...
Finally finished my tank for my on board air. Got everything mounted to the front of the bed, using a high amp relay for the main power wire, sunbeam switch to a 90-120 pressure sensor and then pressure sensor to high amp relay.
Pumps up, shuts off, restarts as you’d want.
Gotta run grab a...
