yeah, I've looked at that. the irony is I already have their sports bar.
my original idea was to mount a small basket or rack to the rear of the sports bar (the elevated area) but I don't think its rated to support much weight.
so, next best thing is to use the cargo management rails.
I did...
I don't want a tonneau cover; I want to mount a roof rack at or just above the top of the bed. Why may you ask? At this point I don't even know anymore other than it's become an obsession. The kits I see online simply mount the rack too high for my taste (looking at you Front Runner) and...
boy they are really proud of those.
although, for what you get, it's not a terrible price.
I pieced mine together using individually bought Cyclone lights and made my own harness using douche connector and all-in it wasn't a huge difference then just buying the kit which cost $319.00 and...
Shame. Of all the aftermarket parts out there, no one is making these. Seems to me that there is a strong market for it. I for one would absolutely pick a generic glass with larger window if it was available.
Update, I returned the original for the core charge at Advanced Autoparts and those asshats gave me a 20% coupon good for that day only.
what was I supposed to do?????
So now I also have the Optima Yellow top.
I'm scared to return my old battery as they may give me another coupon.
My Autozone just told me there is a shortage and that they don't carry them. Advanced auto parts said they can have one tomorrow morning for $124.99 plus tax. Sounds like a winner to me. It's a lot less then what I was expecting and I almost feel it's worth it to not go through the hassle of...
Man I love just how off topic this thread got.
I'll start harassing the local dealerships tomorrow but if I get a lot of flack, I'll just go get one on my own. Any I should stay away from or are there are any brands batteries I should aim for?
Obvious goal here is to have Bigfoot install...
I was just watching a few of them, looks like going through the fender is easier by far. Nevertheless, I think I'll let the warranty fix it this time, might as well.
Yesterday I took the doors off as we are expecting to have a rare clear sky's for a full week here in Houston.
This morning, when I tried to start my Gladiator, it did something funny. It went through the motions of turning on, that is, everything except the engine. Then, it took the weirdness...
@Mr. Bill ,
I really like your solution. My truck won't fit in the garage anymore and even when it did, I have a bedroom over it so its low ceilings. This is perfect. thanks!
I really like how it turned out; they work great at courtesy lights as well as rock lights this way.
Having them dim off when I walk away is a nice touch.
Anyone know why this was discontinued? I can't find a decent upper dash switch bank anywhere. only one left is the Rough Country and it looks like a rebadged knock off.
dude, where were you a week ago?????
I'm happy with what I built but I see I could have saved some serious money now. the braided hoses aren't cheap.
joking aside, I did come across some of these, but I was concerned about the proximity to the exhaust. in some places its only inches away...
I finally finished today. I had a few challenges.
1. Obviously the cradle wasn't meant to mount another tank outside the Viair 2.5-gallon tank so making the larger tank took some modifications. Then after learning that the new holes that I drilled didn't allow for the mount to bolt on, I had...
