@Gren71 Bruh. Found some Frost King gasket material I had lying around when I weatherproofed my Plano Boxes. Put some in the cowl and ran a strip up the side of the door frame like you did. Whistle and wind noise I had is COMPLETELY gone. I need to find something more permanent for the door...
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. I have the same whistle and am looking into ways to eliminate it. I was planning on adjusting the windshield this week.
There is a shim that goes under each mounting point. It is a rubber block. The one near the tailgate is slightly thicker to help the gasket clear in the rear.
Could be, but mine was delivered a few weeks ago without any modified rubber blocks, etc. It was one of the first shipments of EVOa, but it was shipped well after this problem was brought to everyone's attention and RSI responded with a solution. So, I wouldn't count on receiving it with any...
You need to add it under the cap near the tailgate to shim it up a bit. If not, the tailgate compresses the gasket. You need 9/16ths worth, so you need to adhere 9 pieces to each other per side. There are a few posts about it in this massive thread. Haha.
Quadratec is currently offering a $100 gift card on the purchase of a Sunrider (and other Bestop products, up to a $200 gift card). On top of that, Bestop is offering a $50 rebate on Sunrider (Mail in). I ordered one yesterday.
Nope. Just repurposed the overrider holes. Only possible issue is that the holes are almost directly behind the recovery hooks. Fine for my particular 6” KCs. Could be an issue for smaller lights.
I also have VOSwitch and like them a lot. Super easy install and 6 buttons instead of 4. I do feel like the switch panel itself feels a little “cheap”, but they work perfectly for my needs and fit very well. Almost looks like they could be factory. You can also check out LasFit as they have a...
Once I saw they were pre-labeled, I ended up going with VOSwitch. I really like the OEM look of LasFit though. Wish they would have left it as Aux 1-4.
Yes, that is correct. The Ram 1500 I posted has the trail rail system and has much worse deformation. Although, it is a full size, so the cap is much heavier/bulkier in comparison. This past weeks adventure included a lot of medium speed twisty roads that probably put more pressure on these...
