    If you don’t use ESS there is really no good reason to keep the auxiliary battery in the electrical system, there is a proven downside to the much smaller auxiliary battery failing and taking the primary battery with it. My two cents.

    Fuse 42 is just for the system to look at voltage on the auxiliary battery during startup. If you pull the fuse the system looks at the main battery.

    Just to be clear if you pull fuse 42 and disconnect the negative cable to the auxiliary battery you should do nothing else. If you want to physically remove the auxiliary battery then you need to add a jumper between N1 and N3 or bolt the two positive cables on the auxiliary together.

    I use my Tazer to disable the ESS. So if I do delete the auxiliary do I need to put a jumper in between N1 and N3 if I pull the 42 fuse?
