Yes, the SSC can make some alarming noises, but that means it is working. Don't let that put you off. I spent many hours last week wheeling and I specifically wanted to practice with SSC. It is brilliant, once I figued out how to use it.
For example, I was stuck on a slick, muddy hill and...
I retired last year. I commuted to work for 35 years, so I always owned smallish vehicles. Honda Civics, mostly. The last truck I owned was a 1984 Ranger which was a small truck.
My Scion FR-S sports car was coming off lease in July of this year. It was a great commuter car. I considered a...
Thanks, it's great. I used Tread Lightly. I bought a membership back in March, I think. There are other threads on the forums that discuss it in detail. But you have to be a member for 30 days before one can use the affiliate pricing.

Saying, "I just needed a pickup so I picked this one" is accurate but needs an explanation.
I love vehicles of all types. I had a lease on a Scion FR-S sport cars coming off lease in July. I loved that car and I was driving my second one. Nearly perfect commuter car. Small, kinda fast and got...
Very good point. I spent three days this week in Idaho doing some serious wheeling and had a blast. It was rainy. Once the rain soaked in it created mud that has most of the properties of a sticky concrete.
After spending $10 in quarters to get it mostly clean before the mud "sets up", I...
