I was the same way. Couldn't give up the bed depth. I ended up stumbling on a dirt cheap 5x8 trailer and that solved the bed thing. It's way easier loading stuff with that ramp lol. That and a sheet of plywood fits on the trailer!
Rebound will be less with some weight in it.
Look into a Decked drawer system. It adds some weight, is a awesome product and stores your stuff while cutting down on the rear stiffness.
But this puts you into what makes jeeps so great. Adaptability. Doesn't matter what it is, there's a product...
There's a lot of room in there, and going upside down was a thought but the free/engaged handle would then be buried/inaccessible if I were to be buried to the bumper
It's a winch ready bumper, has the bolt holes already too. It came with an additional flat winch plate with fairlead mount as well. But I'm hoping to mount the winch to the frame rails and cut a hole in the bumper top to allow the winch to stick through. If I mount between the rails, the...
Exactly, Our appraiser guys seemed to be able to smell if the car was going to throw a rod or something. They were pretty good. They only took the time to drive the ones they were hoping to keep and sell. Then it was time to gently trash talk the car so they wouldn't get mad at the...
I really like the idea of having my winch mounted between the frame rails. I also like how I've got my lights set up and don't really want to move them from the current spots. So I'm thinking about mounting my new winch between the rails and modding my Fabfours stubby to let the winch pop up...
I sold cars for a few months and it was very eye opening. the rules for making money are weird but our goals were always to make the buyer feel like their car was as beat up as possible (everybody over values the car they trade in)
1. So, the first trade in-value they give you is always low...
Two times come to mind,
I attended a mountain top wedding where the venue was way out and the road coming off the mountain was tons of switchbacks and was really tight. I REALLLY needed ditch lights that night. It was very dark (new moon) and was a little nerve wracking in the crew cab and 8...
Lots of opinions on this one.
Spacers are not the greatest option for lifts. Your money is better spent on spring lift. Yes its more expensive but its doing it the right way.
a spacer lift isn't that great unless you're just trying to finalize a build that was lifted and your added equipment is...
Anyone else have issues with the camera freaking out when it's cold? Anything 20 degrees and colder and this camera can't stay on a single camera, it keeps cycling through the different screens, the bumper camera gets grainy. The rear camera seems ok but the head unit doesn't settle down until...
Get one of those air shims at home depot. Insert inside and inflate. you'll be surprised how much they'll move stuff.

I'm happy I did. I passed up several used systems for cheap once I heard there was a single drawer version coming.
It's pretty awesome. I rarely used the bed to carry tall stuff and I recently picked up a little 5x8 utility trailer so the big stuff hauling is handled there. I'm getting too old...
Covered some already. There's simply not enough room

With how much I will use it, I can't really justify the warn. I wish I had a Harbor Freight nearby and could take advantage of the deal they've got going tomorrow on the Badland winches. But alas, I'll risk it and see how this one does. It was $300 out the door when I picked it up. I'm going...
