  1. Very curious about the typical forum member - why all the modifications?

Jeeps are just like Harleys, the only difference is that one has four wheels and the other, just two. A person can choose to drive it till it dies, as it came, right from the factory....or a person can decide to buy it for top dollar and still drop another $40,000 into it. At the end of the...
  2. Factory Spray In Bed liner no longer available???

Those are very fair hang-ups...plenty of people on here have had holes plugged with the goop, which would suck, but following up with a tap would clean out any residual stuff. I haven’t hear any others complain about overspray or other application issues. These days with painter’s tape...I...
  3. Factory Spray In Bed liner no longer available???

What hang-up(s) do you have on aftermarket spray-in liners? How hard can it be, really? It’s not rocket surgery... IMO, the AFTERMARKET option is better than factory because 1)lifetime warranty... 2)not quite as expensive as the factory option and 3)more places available for follow-up work...

  7. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

Nice!! I guess I can see why these upgrades are so costly beyond the hardware cost...much labor intensity. Is there any other powertrain upgrading going on—trans...xfer case...diffs...axles?
  8. VOIDED Factory Warranty after taking it through mud

Well....FCA's s#it sandwich, with extra sauce, is hitting the fast lane. You guys know more delectable morsels like this are coming...stand by. My opinion? Jeep/FCA shoulda made nice and fixed the friggin' thing from the get-go...now there's the real PR disaster. Anyway....skip to the comments...
  9. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

Good gouge...thanks, man. Keep us posted with your Hemi swap...I might have to dig a little deeper for more change in the couch, steal from the kid's 519 plan.
  10. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

You went w/ Hamburger, iirc....what sucks about their SC...especially if you were keeping up w/ Raptors? Dont get me wrong: like you, I would prefer the V8 over the SC'd v6....but because I probably wont have the additional $30k for that upgrade....the SC add is more likely.
  11. Dometic or ARB fridge?

Yes...by about a half inch. Dont forget: if you use a fridge slide or plan on using one, you will need to add their design to the overall vertical displacement.

  14. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

Admittedly without doing a whole lot of research here....I'll bet dollars to donuts the loaded Hemi JTR/M would be closer to $90k than it is to $80k.
  15. Any rumors for 2022 Gladiator changes?

The Hemi upgrade adds nearly one thousand pounds....say what???
  16. Rubicon 392 starts in mid $70k's

Let's extrapolate that upcharge in terms of percentage and apply it to a loaded JTR or JTM....how bigga number we talking here?
  17. Motor Trend's Most Disappointing Cars and SUVs We Drove in 2020

  18. My Jeep Gladiator will not roll through the automatic car wash while in neutral.

Grab a bucket and a hose.... results will be more satisfying.
  19. STING GRAY Gladiator JT Club

    On 40" rims.....haha!
  20. VOIDED Factory Warranty after taking it through mud

Ya, I only used that as an example...but...there are people in this forum that have been caught out in various degrees of downpour...and with no top. One incidence that comes to memory was a guy that went into a movie theater and came out in the middle of heavy rain. Jeep had no top on whatsoever.
