@JeepDadiator Great thread and writeup. I have a different build, but am looking strongly at the ARB Bondi full-width, and I wanted to know how you've been doing with it after the 2.5 AEV lift.
I have a Mojave on 37s with the 2" AEV spacer lift and geo correction brackets, with factory control...
0 offset is still a hefty amount of poke, I get rocks and mud slinging up to my doors all the time. If you like the AEV designs I've read people have success with those at a +18 +25 offset which has them right at the edge of the fenders.
Yes you can.
Edit: here are all pictures of me before I put my 2" AEV lift. 37x12.5r17, 0 offset Methods. Can't 100% confirm with stock factory wheels, but I'm 95% sure others have and there is no issue with wider tires rubbing the sway bar or anything. Stock mojave wheels have a more offset...
Already been confirmed, but just adding my pics of 37x12.5r17 BFG KO2 fits on the STOCK SPARE STEELIE with tons of room. Had it put on at discount tire today, told them to inflate to 15-20 PSI or so (I carry a portable ARB with me if I ever had to change tires). I went with the KO2 because it's...
Finally ordered a full size 37 inch spare to go along with my General Grabbers. Appointment to get it put on my spare wheel this Thursday, thought I'd float it around to anyone that wants a full size LT285/70/17 or 33" spare to go along with their set of Rubicon or Mojave takeoffs.
Tire is...
Finished the rear on the Mojave lift today. So much easier than the fronts, both because lessons learned, and because no annoying steering components in the way. Did have to compress the springs using a coilover-type spring compressor though, I had the axles at max droop allowable by the break...
DEFINITELY nose high, I'm in a sloped driveway so it makes it look like its a bit level. Here's a picture from the shop floor; it still looked higher in person than in the pictures.
If you want to go level, I'd say 1-1.5 spacer,
Spent the last 2 days installing the AEV 2" Mojave lift with their geometry correction brackets. But only the front half, that's as far as I got in 2 days (did it at a DIY shop with limited hours). Nothing was as easy as it seems. I thought Jeeps were supposed to be easy to work on????
Only...
Did some light PA mountain trails with a buddy over New Years. Stock Mojave suspension, only the Method 704s and 37x12.5 General ATX, swaybar still connected. I was surprised when I flexed it out on the rock, the front wheels actually looked like they would have had more room. The rear tires...
