  1. 2021 JTR - 5W-30 Oil?

Been running 5w-30 in my 2020 since early 2020 and 50k miles in Pennsylvania with no issues. Doubt it fixes anything - it’s an acceptable viscosity.
  2. Is manual better than 8 speed auto?

Manual with a @Centerforce Clutches for the win!!!
  3. Death Wobble - Need Reputable Shop West Indianapolis, IN

I hope this is fixed. I highly recommending pulling the stabilizer off to make sure you aren’t just masking the underlying issue. I’ve had ball joints pass multiple exams by mechanics and pass when I checked and when I pulled them off they were flopping around. A properly sorted front end can...
  4. Rear axle max tire size

I run 37s. Daily driver, weekend warrior, hunt, fish, camp vehicle. My Yukon 5.13 pinion apparently made of Chinesium exploded. Running a replacement factory front and rear with Spicer 5.38 gears. I feel like 40s would be a challenge for my use case but could be fine for street use/light trail...

I’m running a Rusty’s 2ā€ lift plus a Teraflex 1.5 spacer up front to clear 37s on my 2020 Rubi and zero driveshaft issues for my daily driver, weekend warrior, on stock driveshafts for 50k+ miles.
  10. So, what is everybody towing?

Junk. Fence collapsed. My YUKON pinion failed, etc.
  11. Random Death Wobble

Agree - should be zero movement but the question …,is that the cause of the DW or is that a result? That’s why DW causes so much frustration and spills so much digital ink. Highly recommend looking for root cause vs first cause. It’s often track bar but a proper diagnosis will let you know...
  12. Outer axel seals?

You are in luck. My son bought a TJ with wrecked frame for $1 from my ex brother in law and 1 side had the seal and the other did not. This TJ was wheeled and the seal was on for 10+ years. We redid the whole front - unit bearings, brakes, etc. the side without the seal - just the factory...
  13. Another Rausch/AOAA Ride. May 4 and May 5 2025

Gotta work but good luck! It’s a lot of fun at both these parks.
  14. When driving between 30 to 40 mph. My Gladiator sounds like it has a turbo

Could be a pinion - pinion bearing. Like this??
  15. Temu Products

They use force, slave labor to rip off other people’s patents.
  16. Rear Pinion failure and no parts availability

Yikes. Always get a loaner. They have zero incentive to make you whole without one. If they don’t have one available make them rent you a car.

Update - on 37s with 5.38 gears and 6speed manual. Showing 13.9mpgs on display. Hand calculated to 13.5mpgs. Probably .3 mpg difference from 5.13 gears and stock 4.10 gears on 37s.
