I agree, it's important for people to know what they're getting into. I assumed when I purchased that I'd be getting 16-22 like the sheet said. It's a stretch to say it's getting 16+ under ideal driving conditions on the highway and that really ticked me off for a while.
I checked my tire...
I was worried, too, but my GPS speed matches my speedo perfectly so I think they have it dialed in. (2021 Mojave as well)
How long have you been driving? Mine was 13-14 the first week or so, now after week 3 it's up to 16.5. I drive pretty reasonably, I could see it being low if I continued...
Funny story - the fam and I went on a 10 day Western states RV tour, stopping outside Yosemite one night at a state park campground. There was a huge motorcycle rally there, we had no idea obviously after making the plans from out of state. It was everything you'd imagine, and we almost packed...
I have the heigh10 unit and the cramming of wires is the same. I'm going back and forth with it. Solved some problems with the help of support (saw you've had some complaints about LinksWell support - Stinger is fairly responsive at least).
My only real complaint now is the level of contrast...
No - a chime for proximity sensors when you're backing up. The Stinger unit has one, too.
Side note - how are you liking the Linkswell now that you've had it installed for a bit?
For some reason, it's forgetting my saved radio stations. It also won't shift from day to night screen in Android Auto when the headlights come on. My patience with this thing is on its last leg.
Counterpoint: I just ordered through azwholesale and whoever I was working with via email was quick to respond and incredibly helpful - even tried to help me get the parts faster through a nearby dealer who had the harness in stock. ??‍♂️
There you go.
I'm reminded of the "spaghetti noodles" CJ owners all complain about, tearing everything out from the engine to the canister to the tank. Then spending all sorts of effort trying to figure out why the garage reeked of fuel, why their engines ran rough when cold, or stalled at...
Must be an AZ thing. I don't think it's physically possible to cool the cabin down to whatever it's set at. It was a cool 110 on the drive home today.
How about "if the a/c is running?"
I bought mine from Crutchfield and I'm happy they have a 60 day return policy. I'm giving it a month before deciding.
It's better than the 8.4" system, for sure, but not $1650 better. Android auto is washed out, there's this backup glitch, and twice I have just get "no signal" in reverse that...
