  1. Blind Spot monitoring and 4.5 lift kit BEWARE

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0777JTJGJ My first purchase. Put them in the top corner nearest the doors. E: what happens around here is you're merging onto the highway, craning your neck to see if there's anyone in the near lane, and WHAM, the tool in front of you in the merge lane decides...
  2. Is the diesel gladiator worth it?

The calculations are 15-20 years to make up for the cost-savings on gas, so if you're going for diesel "for better mileage," you're doing it wrong.
  3. Keys & Start/Stop

Mine works very well so long as I have the A/C off (it's at max because we live in a suburb of hell). Come to a stop. Car settles. Engine goes off. If you don't feel that settle, she's probably not braking hard enough.
  4. Gladiator vs Bronco.

    Deciding which to keep.
  5. Oil Leak @ < 1200 Miles

You need to work on your math bud. 0.05% is 5. If there were 5%, that's 500, and that's a pretty terrible failure rate. If the electrician installing light switches in your house messed up 5% of them, your house would've burned down.
  6. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

Working on my passenger side this weekend, waiting on the driver side. I'll extend the same offer, I've got an old BT OBD adapter and the security cable I can lend out if anyone in the north Phoenix/Cave Creek area is interested in doing this. Programming was pretty straightforward.
  7. Cold air intake - is it worth it, and will it void the warranty

Sound like money is better spent on a cool exhaust tip - that's probably, what, $5/hp?
  8. Front Drive Shafts: Dana 1310/1350 vs Adams vs Tom Wood

I've used Tom Woods a few times over the years for my Scrambler build and they've been top notch. Haven't had to use them for my JT yet.
  9. Gladiator vs Bronco.

Stopped by Bell Rd. Ford today to have a look at their demo 4dr soft top Big Bend. I had originally reserved that trim, but made some changes after buying my Gladiator - moved up to OBX, dropped SAS package, added lux. Anyway, funny story - they had three delivered this week. Someone backed...
  10. Mojave fuel mileage: 20.2

I was excited because it looked like it was starting to improve. Most of my recent driving was highway so I figured that was it. At the same time, I wasn't close to 300 miles since my last fill up, so something was off.
  11. Mojave fuel mileage: 20.2

Mine also read in the 20s this week. Filled up and did a hand calc: The screen reading is bullshit is what I'm saying.
  12. Funny for the week

NO LOWBALLERS! I Know what I have! /that will NOT buff right out.
  13. New Bronco! Hard Top Issues ...

I quoted you because you quoted me. You realize the post you deleted is still visible in my reply to you, or are you unfamiliar with how posting on the forum works?
  14. Mounting bracket help

You did all the work! Glad you got it off, I was going to suggest a propane torch next ;)
  15. Mounting bracket help

Can you pull and turn at the same time?
  16. What are the "MUST HAVE" mods after buying your Gladiator? ($5,000 starting budget)

I would recommend the proximity sensor door handles. Might as well order now and they'll be there by the time you get back from your trip. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/proximity-door-locks-retrofit-on-wrangler-gladiator-someone-figured-it-out-diy-writeup.29199/
  17. Bad day on the trail…

Pfft. What kinda question is that. Did Zebulon Pike say "I don't know boys, maybe we should just go around."
  18. New Bronco! Hard Top Issues ...

And even more honestly, both are trivial compared to frame weld failures, clutch failures, automatic transmission failures, and steering gear box failures. You can find threads on each of those, hundreds of posts long, on this and other modern jeep forums. To point and laugh at something like...
  19. New Bronco! Hard Top Issues ...

I'm a member on the forum. There's a thread with a line of Broncos outside the MAP, all with "bad top" written on the window. It's bad. That being said, we have our very own thread right here on the matter. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/roof-leak-in-back.25332/ I mean...
  20. Software Update Today, Do I Need to Keep The Gladiator in “Run?”

Can you make the maps in Android auto full screen? You would make my year if the answer is yes.
