  1. Need advice from veteran Gladiator owners - thanks for your help

I went with Dan Cummins in Kentucky bc I wanted to get an AEV build. Around 5% below invoice - be sure to sign up for Tread Lightly as well. If you go that route I am happy to talk to you about the process so you know what it involves. Knowing ahead of time would have taken some of the stress out.
  2. Need advice from veteran Gladiator owners - thanks for your help

@Geoff Massa lots of good advice for you. You might consider ordering from some of the out of state dealers that offer below invoice pricing to get exactly what you want. Its a hassle in CA, but can done and save you $$$$. I am on my second Rubicon so clearly biased :) Its all in one package...
  3. Mopar Performance Windshield Wipers w/ Built-In Washer Jets Released For Jeep Gladiator

I took it all back apart last night. Essentially to get one side correct the other side is taut like a guitar string. Did exactly what @SPED1 did just in case I was installing wrong and it was worse. The distance from the final splitter is too short to go out of the cowl and up to the arm...
  4. Bumper Analysis Paralysis! HELP!

Lots of great choices. I agree with the weight comments. Had both an ARB and the stock metal rubicon bumper on my JK. Wish I never sold the stock metal bumper to add the ARB. Its lighter, can add a winch if you want, lots of accessories from Maximus3, ends are removable and it looks good. My two...
  5. Mopar Performance Windshield Wipers w/ Built-In Washer Jets Released For Jeep Gladiator

Went to put mine on tonight when the arm puller came. That is well worth $10 - wouldn't budge without and popped right off with the puller. Same as @SPED1 my hoses are too short. Of all the parts to "short" us on why the cheapest possible portion. Going to just get an amazon repair kit to extend...
  6. Antennas

I went with this one, $9. Use satellite as well and just wanted something a bit smaller so it wouldn't hit the Weboost antenna I have up front. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091JV86X1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  7. Pop top Camper with the shortest lead time or places that have some in stock?

A little different idea, but can work for occasional camping. Cost of a shell and this topper lift would be well under 1/2 the cost of the pop ups. https://topperezlift.com/index.php/product/topperlift-kit-with-weekender-camper-package/
  8. RSI Smartcap

Excellent, thank you sir! Looks like it has a good amount of space as well. Will need to order one up.
  9. Anatomy of the oil cooler and filter housing.

Agree that the block off plate and external cooler is the way to go. Could probably get away with no filter or bypass only since you can keep the stock filter in place. Guessing you can make that plate at home if you can get a good chunk of aluminum to work with. Hopefully the first adopter can...
  10. AirLift rear bag system - info you need to know

They are an easy install replacing the bumpstops - all bolt on. On the Ram the bags are inboard to the spring. on our JTs it would be outboard and even easier to install. They say to give them a call if you have a lift for the correct spacer. If you want to go down the rabbit hole you could...
  11. AirLift rear bag system - info you need to know

Take a look at Timber Grove bags if you need something for more extreme weather. Put these on our 5th gen Ram and they are apples to oranges different than the airlift bags. Have not put anything on the JT yet...
  12. AirLift rear bag system - info you need to know

Haha, for sure. That is how mine looked. It was ok when the bags were newer since they were soft. Once the heat took its tool it wasn't letting the spring work correctly. They were on there for 6+ years so you have lots of time
  13. RSI Smartcap

Thanks man and no rush at all! Much appreciated.
  14. AirLift rear bag system - info you need to know

Had these on an Xterra and then my JK. Initially were great especially full of gear and with a small trailer in tow. On the JK I found the bags became very rigid and it impacted ride quality and articulation. You could see them binding in the spring. The bag deformed around the spring shape...
  15. Who is running 37"-40" tires on the diesel

Yep, no big climbs around here unless we head north and into the mountains. I also use the adaptive cruise if traffic isn't too heavy. Works well.
  16. Who is running 37"-40" tires on the diesel

No tune, GDE not available to us in California and dont really want to go with the Banks. Have an AFE drop in filter and use Hotshots Everyday Tx when I fill up, that's it. I have gotten above 20 around town but it was too hard to drive that slow. The 37s are BFGs and really light. Have a second...
  17. Some Warn recovery gear on closeout

Warn has the Epic Hyperlink and Sidewinder (fancy shackle and winch hook) on closeout on their website. Shipping is about $15 per item, but still a decent deal. Got one of each and they seem exceedingly strong. They are also polished so get ready for some bling! Mine is behind the front plate so...
  18. Cooling efficiency of different hoods?

AEV made a heat reduction hood for the JKs and it had a large vent just behind the front edge. They like to test everything and here is their opinion - The central vent of the Heat Reduction Hood is positioned to take advantage of the low-pressure area created at the front edge of the Hood when...
  19. Who is running 37"-40" tires on the diesel

I am running 4.56s on 37s but don't have a reference for the stock gears. Getting 19 around town and 24+/- hwy. I like the zip around town and am certain it can get better mileage if I could stay off the pedal. Shell, gear, people plus dog most of the time. Doesn't feel like too much gear. Still...
