Ordered these up tonight with the customer appreciation sale price. Was going to wait to see if there was a bigger discount for Black Friday, but wanted to get them on before holiday travels. Had an LOD rear bumper on my JKUR and it was rock solid for years. Good quality and workmanship is...
Thanks for these pics. These are on my Black Friday list. Have the ironman 4x sliders that are ok, but want something stronger also with the step. Had the LOD rear bumper on my JK as well - strongest part on the jeep!
So I got "Hot Wheels'd" a while back at Disneyland. Definitely a first! Super clever and fun to receive. Was under my wiper at the end of the day. The fact that it was green like my JT was awesome (and XJ's are pretty amazing too). If it was from a forum member thank you!
Protip for D Land...
Awesome, thank you! I have some tall jack stands and should be able to get enough drop. Going to order them up and see if I can do the swap before our next camping trip in December. Sold our Ram and going to put the JT to the test. Our Lance TT is only 5500 GVW so it shouldn't be an issue at...
I have the regular springs. The HD springs came out a couple weeks after my build was done unfortunately. Would go HD for my use - going to hook up the travel trailer for the first time soon and expect will need the extra capacity. Also picked up an ultra swing and when you put all that weight...
Awesome, you are going to love it I am sure. I did an AEV build la carte on my JK and wanted to go a little faster this time. Will check out Barlow Adventures.
Using the Front Runner bars. They are good, but had a minor issue with the hardware. The DIY brackets are better than the regular...
Looking forward to getting the front diff slider from them. Especially on the diesel with all the weight on the front end. I keep saying I am not going to do these harder trails and then it happens again :)
There is a discount code in one of the threads GLAD5. Not sure if it still works but worth a try.
When installing the engine skid it was a PITA to get the motor mount bolts out. They were tight and not much room to work. Actual mounting was super easy.
A lot of horrible noises were heard over...
I have the ASFIR aluminum skids that @John in the Woods is going to install. Did a couple trails this past weekend in Big Bear CA. Gold Mountain and John Bull. Gave these skids a serious workout and held up great. If you wheel hard all the time they would likely wear down, but good enough for my...
Thanks! I used up all my aux switches which was another reason I just wired to the reverse lights.
My light bar and front lights are definitely separated. Aux2 is the light bar and aux1 are the big lights. They must have mixed something up there.
Added Vision X reverse light kit. These were down to $158 on Amazon recently. Decided they would be better than the Oracle reverse lights.
Connected them to my back up lights using a Curt plug in adapter and 5 flat wire harness. Can easily add them to a switch if needed.
Vision X makes very...
I go with the insurance thinking and vote yes if you can afford it. Had one on my JK and now on the JT. Have pulled a number of people out and it sure beats hours of digging and other self recovery work. Try not to get in over my head and occasionally go solo.
Only additional advice is to take...
Bought these for the JT before it arrived. Turns out the lift has a new UCA bracket on the front and these won't work for me. Needs to be stock suspension or lift without an add on bracket to lower the UCA. Part of the bracket needs to touch the frame which it cannot do with the lift's lowering...
Not to beat this dead horse, but within the limits as @CrazyCooter says is correct. In addition to the Scamp you could go with one of these Escape trailers. Would be a nice rig if someone put some thought into setting it up. The concept is interesting.
