I have seen a couple older threads on this, but thought there might be new suggestions or info. I really like the function of my SE, but it does have a couple minor leak spots I would like to improve. I did torque everything to spec and weighted the corners when I adjusted the rods. I do not...
So many choices! I went with these LINK. Lots of customer photos on the site. Very heavy duty and a great steps.
Along with the steps, which are great, they do help reduce the winter salt spray up here in MN.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Kind of surprised that there is such a backorder on this specific windshield. Guess they are all going into new production.
Thanks for trying! When I checked with the link I had a polite reply. "Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, we do not ship windshields. We apologize for any inconvenience as this is company policy. We recommend visiting your nearest Authorized MOPAR Dealership to purchase the...
Count=1, Very happy with my first Jeep; 2024 JT. Watched my neighbor put over 300K miles on his 2 door Wrangler and always a little jealous. Plus the bed lets me carry things that I would not want in our SUV (like gas cans).
Not sure what the problem was, but they showed me the Gladiator list--must be more than 12 options! They actually came out with one right away based on the VIN, but immediately noticed that it was lacking the radio antenna.
My windshield guy is having a hard time finding a replacement windshield. I have googled the part number, and keeps coming up as "unavailable." Any ideas? Any vendors checking in?
Maybe Jeep is keeping them all for new production, but I could sure use one . . .
Part: 68519032AA or the...
Greetings from Minnesota! Trying to track down a windshield for my 2024 Mojave X. Part number on the windshield is 68519032AA, but I think 68519032AB is the more current part number (but correct me if I am wrong).
They seem to be on backorder everywhere. Any thoughts??
I joined at 5000 miles. Actually the first windshield replacement in 50 years of driving!
On top of this, the part for the Mojave X (68519032AB or AA) seems to be on nationwide backorder.
Hate the first ding/scratch on a new vehicle. The second not quite so much . . .
Right now the JT is our newest vehicle, so not looking forward to it's first dent. (The new windshield I have on order for highway rock damage is bad enough)
Amazing how some specific vehicles can just be "snake-bit." I had a similar experience with a German car . . . driving home the day I bought it the AC went out. Little thinks went out like temp sensors, horn, etc. Oil consumption got so bad they finally gave in and gave me a new engine...
Going Mopar too, but have to wait for the right part. Turns out there are over a dozen variations for the Gladiator . . . They showed up with the wrong one and will wait a couple weeks for the right one. No problem since it's drivable.
This is stretching my memory a bit, but I believe the bolt you mention has enough space when seated for the cable to move. So I tightened it quite a bit. You can check this out pretty easily when assembling to see if I am remembering correctly or not.
For storage, I am storing it standing up...
