The OP is in Virginia. In addition to paying sales tax when you buy a vehicle, VA has a tax every year on the value of any car, truck, motorcycle, trailer, Rv or boat you own. He‘s not talking about tags, real estate, etc. it’s a tax every year in addition to tags, etc.

I had the same thoughts a few weeks ago, and mine is supercharged. I decided I really like the truck vs the wrangler, so did the best (but not cheapest) option. 392 Gladiator will be here next week.

You are assuming 8.8 cents based on long time usage. If someone hits you and totals it Tomorrow, you're above the 71 cents, so you never know.

I have a 2021, with a Magnuson S/C that was installed at the dealer when the truck had 7500 miles, now has 22,500. it Adds 0 value when trading, but not sure it’s worth spending the money/time removing it either. Any idea of what it’s worth used?

I think the replacement motor hurts more than you’d think. I just sold a 2021 Mojave with a Magnuson S/C back to the dealer that installed it (so they at least can say it was done there). 22k miles, good options, they paid me $52,500 on an outright purchase.
