We ended up getting the Clayton Triple rate springs. Yet to install as we are waiting on Falcon to build our shocks. Seems like they are having production issues. Anyhow the springs are 190/280/360lbs / inch. only for the rear though...
Insider issues that can be caused by putting it there behind the axle. I’ve talked to long range America previously a while ago about this. Due to Covid it messed up their plans for the diesel. Blast update was probably next year. Myself looking underneath the truck I find it difficult to find a...
I have not seen or heard anything regarding a movement in this area. The more that I work on this vehicle. I also notice how difficult it would be to fit something down there. I know removing the spare tire would be an option. Albeit not ideal as I would prefer to keep all weight before the axle.
Have the same issue. Ordered at the beginning of year. Ended up having to call as I was like hey I am missing something. Was told it won’t go into production right now and check back. Called back and was told check back on March 3 to see if it goes on the production schedule. No promises from...
Wanted to go with the CeFi / Nextivity Go G32 booster and RFI Technologies CDQ7195 antenna. Probably the route I would have eventually gone to. Had put it on the back burner as there are things that have to be done in budget. Yet, somehow when a sponsor comes through and helps fill the void. I’m...
I’ll have to get back to you. Have yet to install it. I’ll post up a video. Although we ended up with the Wilson Booster it was our second choice. We went with the truck/RV version. I do hope to have electrical finished in the next month on the camper and this includes things like the booster...
Im not 100% sure what I would like to do. That said I may talk with a fabricator to design a mount for the top of the Alucab Camper. This way no matter if I add a roof rack, lights, etc. I shouldnt have interference with either my Satellite Radio, nor GPS.
I just think its miscommunication. I have not replaced the radio, and having now a aluminum camper body on there blocking the signal. It something I need to work on to be able to have good functionality.
My issue is that I have a Camper right over the Middle Sports Bar. So receptions is terrible now. Given that from all available things I have seen put the stock antenna location about the middle rollbar, usually not an issue except when you have a roof rack or camper there. So two options for...
Wrong or the other 5 things I have read where misinformed about the factory location of the GPS/Satellite Antenna?
I would not mind personally even having the possibility of designing and having fabricated a Antenna Box to mount on top of my Alucab canopy camper.
Bump having just put on our Alu-Cab. It looks Like that is something we need to add to the list. Anything come up about doing this as far as options now? Looking at using the Maximus 3 Satellite Antenna Relocation Bracket.
We went bed rug. But I will say I did do a little extra prep on the bed as the bottom isn’t full sealed. As I could see daylight through the seams. That way I would have water intrusion into the camper from the bottom from road kick up. I just used some silflex to seal the bottom seams. I too...
Right I definitely don’t discount this. Yet, I am unique in some respect as all the funds for this are part of a project to help others and what ever I am able to do to make it go further I will. Now on top of that I have installed “canopies” and worked on some older Defender camper conversions...
yes they are installing ours. We have also talked a bit through email about the Veteran Overland Project to stop veteran suicide. Don’t know if 2 and 2 came together there.I’m looking forward to see what you come up with. Also need to work out some extra ideas like fire extinguisher mount in...
Gotcha I do trust but want to verify things as it just wasnt adding up from the instructions. I hadnt talked to anyone who installed or an installer. I do plan on doing my own electrical. That is a beast in itself that will have to be completed bit by bit once I can get an idea of how I want to...
Curious as to the install time for the canopy camper. Just the camper and sealing it. Not any electrics or accessories. Been quoted 9hours labor and just don’t see it after looking at the install guide from Alu-cab.
Went out to The Chattahoochee NF and Cohutta Wilderness, pretty much my back yard, for our shakedown run. Ended up having to land a drone down in the valley due to some issues with my geofence and altitude settings errors on dji air2s. Lots of fun retrieving it, took like 3 hours. But still...
