CAN'T SHIFT IN TO LOW RANGE ANYMORE. System thinks I'm in neutral when it's engaged. (update: now working)
So it might have been a rock as mentioned below. Before I could troubleshoot the problem, it started working again. I would rather have been able to find the issue!

Antenna mount with NMO
- :) antenna mount
- Larsen NMOHF mid and thick mount (Ham Radio Outlet)
I needed to remove the ridge on the Larsen NMO with a Dremel and make a new bracket for my Rough Country Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover.
We finally bit the bullet and got our amateur licenses. Not that hard and the best option IMHO.
That being said, I believe GMRS is your next best option. The higher power Midland radios support repeaters. Get a long antenna from Ham Radio Outlet in the right frequency range for GMRS.
Prepping for upcoming desert trip.
This Rightline tent was on sale for $170.95 on Amazon. I believe it will fit over my three panel hard cover when it is folded back.
So I was thinking, what if you removed the door spring thing. You'd need to open the door with your fingernail or a soft tool, but it shouldn't open in car washes and might even discourage gas theft.
I 3d printed a little box for my console. It let's me put a lot more stuff in there. Space for flashlight in the back and pens in the from. I can post a link to the stl if you want to make one. Split in the middle because I have a small printer and I printed it in two parts.
I had a friend get stuck in a drift that crossed the trail. Whenever we tried to pull him out, his rig would slide closer to the drop. We later realized that under the loose snow of the drift was a stream that had turn to 10 inches of frozen ice. Lesson learned.
