    Adjusting the box only makes it feel heavier. Bought my new box from a dealer on line and changed it out myself. Only had 1000 miles on then. Handles much better

    If that were the case you wouldn’t have steering if the vehicle was not on. The system works just like a vehicle with a belt driven pump.

    The voltage should not have any effect on the looseness of the steering as it would only make a difference on how heavy or light the steering feels as there’s a direct connection between the steering wheel and the tires through the gear box.     Was a fairly easy install, when I installed it did make it a little better. Need a 42mm socket to remove/reinstall pitman arm nut.

    Company I work for now changes core some sometimes with new parts release they want cores back to see where parts are failing.

    Installed my new gear box I ordered from Mopar parts online (tired of dealer not wanting to do anything saying nothing wrong and wanting to charge me as I have a lift) made a big difference on the dead spot in steering, more enjoyable to drive.

    Just read through this thread and if you want to come out to where I live I can show you the dead spot in my box. Input shaft movement with no sector shaft movement (two inches of steering wheel movement). No amount of air pressure settings will fix. Dealer will not do anything, waiting on after...
