Overall happy with the 3.0 for daily… for “jeeping” I am definitely going back to a tj/LJ and putting a 2.8 Cummins in it…. More than enough torque, fuel efficient, no emissions bs. Little more than half the weight of the newer jeeps.

If the rear shafts are bent at the flanges, this isn’t very hard to do… bumping obstacles to get the rear up will do it. Definitely bent the tubes on the front of our JKUR with big tires….(adding only for clarity- they are claiming shafts right?)

I vote 8.5 with a 0 offset…. A 9 with -12 is 18mm additional poke.

Meh. It is what it is. But this is far from the worst…. “A lot” of European cars take a significant hit. Check out a Porsche Cayenne GTS, Mercedes GLE AMG, Audi SQ8…. Most of these take 30-40% hits within a couple years too :)

Is your intent to add the hydro assist ram? I had a big bore box but also had a ram…. Hands down best steering out there. Do think I am doing my current Jeep differently in that I am going with a ported factory box with the psc ram. ( If you are just looking to upgrade and you haven’t smoked...
I stuff the tire for every day use- but put it in the bed/top of the canopy when off roading. I drag the @$$ end enough- don’t need to rip a sidewall due to crap departure angle.
This is with a 12.5 wide tire… 13.5 would be worse
If I were looking at a smart cap with the intent to RTT I would wash it and get the GFRC…. Cost of a GOOD clamshell and an rsi is not a ton less than the gfrc…
