Yeah that's what I've been seeing on price and I appreciate the feedback... I too have a bunch of RAM stuff from my Tacoma that also had a dash-top rail mount. The problem with that was that the iPad wasn't stable even reinforced heavily in the plastics so I'm a bit worried about how this one...
How has this one been working out for you? Is it completely stable? I've spent the last day waffling back and forth between this RAM mount and the Vector 3/4 bar because I'm not sure how secure the RAM rail will be for something like a tablet off road.
Throw another stock Max Tow on the pile with the rough downshift but personally, I think it's just an aggressive programming. I wouldn't say it's actually a clunk, just a bit of a light jerk on the 4-3 while braking.
Something wheel related would be a pretty consistent thump about 10 times a second at those speeds. Driveshaft would be about a quarter of that so still 2-3 times a second. Do you feel the vibration in the floor and seat or the steering wheel more?

Yup. Totally a Toyota problem.
Diversity in your garage doesn't exempt you from being an insufferable fanboy. There is no handicapping the Jeep (and if anything, this comparison is attempting to inflate the merits of the Pro package) - I'm arguing that comparing a package on one vehicle that has no counterpart on the other...
I get that this is a Jeep forum so the dick swinging vs. Toyota will be rampant but you're completely missing the point of the post. The Rubicon is effectively a special edition where its defining characteristics that make it better (lockers, 4:1) are entirely unavailable outside that trim...
Can't say I agree... the TRD Sport is the same price as the Off-Road and is specifically tuned in every way to be a street truck. The suspension is crazy stiff on the thing and the tires are run of the mill all seasons you'd find on a Honda Pilot.
If you wanted an off-road comparison, I think...
I feel like I need to defend the Tacoma here because there's a huge difference in how the JT and Taco are spec'd out. The Rubi is the top off-roader without question and even the ZR2 Bison isn't going to compete with a 4:1, live axles, and a pair of lockers. Thing is, the Rubicon is the only...
Get them up to freeway speeds and rough roads and it's night and day - the Tacoma is far more stable at speed. Totally agree on the AT though... they under-geared the truck and as a result it doesn't hold 5th or 6th well.
The live axle is what defines a Wrangler now that the JLU is basically the size of a freakin' 4Runner. If they lose that, they lose it's monopoly in the segment and it has to start competing with the 4Runner and the upcoming Bronco.
The Gladiator is not a monopoly and it's competing against...
