You mentioned Lockhart Basin, I recommend not attempting that trail, although its one of my favorites. The JT scrapes by on 37s on that one. Also, if you do fins and things on 33s, youll be OK on the first half (daylight side) but will scrape quite a bit with 33s on a JT on the second section...
So I washed it yesterday morning, by 5 the time I got to work, oil was already pooling on the bottom of bolts. This leak developed in the last 1500mi so I called the dealer near me that usually works with me. They had me bring it in this morning to at least ID parts. They got it in and confirmed...
Hmm, ok. Based on what you guys are saying and those posts, it may well be the timing cover. Guess its a dealer trip. I'm out of basic, but it should be power train. Fingers crossed they can get it done before the 27th, I have a two week trip coming up...
Throwing this out incase someone has an idea or similar leak. I just noticed this development but cant see the source, likely without a lot of disassembly. Any ideas? Oil level is still good, leak is light, no drops on the pavement under the truck. 38500 miles. Pics arent great but it looks like...
Yeah the Amazon ones are definitely worth it even if you can afford the CMM. I like to save unnecessary costs, but mostly I just cant stand the circle mirrors lol. Way to small and not great for adjustment. I like with the long rectangular ones that you can flip their direction.
Just a thought, if I were you I would sell those CMMs for a bit of extra cash and buy these instead. I have these and for the price, I don't think they can be beat. 0 vibration and they come on and on very easy and they have a much better view than the cmm ones. Its a win win, then you don't...
Hmm, based on that pic, mine is too high up. Hope im not missing a retainer of some sort. It didn't look like one would fit in there, but my won't push down like the one in the Pic. I'm not a fan of my filters looking crushed like that.
I'm glad I could help get some info out. I know even though these diesels like to get too hot, no way I'd like towing with the 3.6. Just a test drive in one, it felt incredibly underpowered.
Does anyone happen to have a pic if their diesel filter housing? I need to know if mine is normal again. The black plastic piece in this photo popped out during my last change. I found it and a little spring, put them together and popped it back in. Now it crashing my filter a little. Maybe...
My avg coolant temp stayed around 225 to 228. On the steepest climbes when it was in 6th it would climb to about 234 so I would slow down a little and it would cool. I didn't derate this time. I do have the bullet proof supp radiator mounted right in the bumper for better air. I tested it out a...
Post trip numbers are in. Overall happy with the performance. The truck stayed in 7th-8th gear 80% of the time, hitting 6th on steep inclines and once hit 5th on the worst incline. Much better than before. The mpgs are basically back to stock numbers, I saw a similar result towing with 33s on...
I ended up getting a black textured. But I'd rather a white to match my paint. Wanna trade and then you can sell the black one? Lol. I assume the black ones have a larger market being compatible with all colors.
Tires are correct. I used to have to change tire size all the time. Now I can leave them be at 36.5 the overall dia. of these tires. Tazer makes it easy. Gears are correct as well. The mpg is correct.
A quick update pre-towing. I grabbed my odometer reading at the pump the last two times. Starting was 36253, the next fill was 36601. I put in 15 gallons exactly to make the math clean, that puts me at 23.2 mpg avg. This is over the last 4 days of daily driving, mostly freeway 70-75mph with some...
Yeah, the problem is everyone lists them for almost the same cost as new. No one seems to understand the point of used lol.
2-3k is a little out of budget right now unfortunately, or I'd go pick up a new one.
I'm looking to trade my Mopar premium soft top plus 33" tires with 27k miles on them or cash for a hard top before a road trip to Alaska. Soft top is in great shape and includes the hotheads head liner. Tires are the stock rubicon wildpeaks with no punctures or damage (full set of 5).
