I'm going to take my travel trailer down south this weekend. The highway is mostly flat until I hit the mountains between me and Moab where Ill get some decent climbs in.
My trailer weighs 2600lbs empty and itll probably be about 3000lbs with gear and water this trip. Ill let you know how it...
That was my vehicles reading the entire way from SoCal to Utah on I15, which is mostly uphill. I also had the AT3s on and had 500lbs in the bed (8tires and 4wheels). I didn't calc it out exactly, but looking now, the journey was about 800 miles and it took two full tanks which puts me around 21...
Throwing out another opinion data point for anyone doing their research in that search bar above like I was for some time.
Finally pulled the trigger on gears and traveled all the way to Cali to save 1500$, (why are utah shops so expensive!?). went to 4.56s and absolutely love them! The truck...
Something to eliminate. Mine would stall at stop lights occasionally, took it to the dealership and they pointed to the infamous wire harness routed infront of the firewall, passenger side. They re-routed it and wrapped more shielding on in and it seems to have worked. Check yours in case. There...
Not the auto start stop, mine actually dies, CEL comes on and won't turn back on until its placed in park. My auto start stop is disabled. But even when I had it, it turns back when letting off the brake.
I know what you mean. I hate to admit it but this truck has been giving the bad omen signs since 10k when I first got a CEL for a fuel error when ever I change elevation rapidly or during off road. Then the DPF failure, and now just recently I keep getting P0341 and my truck just stalls and...
I have a similar one as well, but I actually pulled the red tow hooks from the factory bumper and put them in the knock off. The one thing I didn't trust was those breaking if I needed them. Re-using the factory ones ensures that won't happen and the factory ones looked better. They fit...
One thing I do just to keep everything nice and tight is wrap the center with 2 large velcro straps. Its a cheap solution to preventing the wind from stressing the fabric too much. It also keeps the flapping noise down.
Yeah, XL standard length. The width is good for 37s and the length makes it less necessary to remove them on moderate trails. They match perfectly with my fender extenders.
Bringing this up again, I know, I know, but does anyone now if recent production of these filters has changed a few things like the logo? I bought a filter of amazon that looked good, and still looks legit in person aside from a few small things. Either the production line updated or the...
Ah yeah I get you. I probably didn't clarify well enough. I don't get the dash warning now, I just see my iDash turn the regen status from "off" to "Pass" frequently, but now that I can actually see that, I can ensure it completes so I don't get to the dash warnings. Looking back at what kb5zcr...
Thats kinda what I was getting at. I should burn a little down on the highway under load I would think, but mine just climbs, rather rapidly going above 70mph. But it may be normal. Seems like I will just need to rely on the frequent active regens.
Another vote for rokblokz. They have been great, look great, and the fact you can remove them on the trail in under a min is awesome. They are a non invasive installation as well.
Yeah I'm not digging into all that. I will say, I don't base my info off of the amount of people that have the issue in a forum. You may think people are dumb, but most know you mostly hear the bad on forum so you got that wrong from what I said. Real world experiences and many other sources...
A few guys on the forum without corrosion hardly represents hundreds of thousands. Factory defects on the assembly line affects a high number of jeeps. Your fixation with trying to say its not an issue is amusing.
Yeah the "why" isn't a hill worth dying on for me lol. Regardless, it happens to many jeeps.
If your dealership gives you a hard time about replacing it, fight them. Also, don't let them just replace your one door or tailgate, they should replace everything in one go. Chances are you will...
