This is an interesting thread over on the Wrangler forum. What is the cutoff voltage for the aux switches? My experience is that it happens around 12.4vDC. This is volts measured with a meter from the battery. Have any of you tested for the cutoff or do you know what the documentation...
Whenever I see threads with a member having the wobbles after making changes to the suspension, my first thought is always the wheels. For the purposes of this discussion, wheels come in 2 flavors, hub centric and lug centric. Factory wheels are always (as far as I know) hub centric. The hole...
Share a photo of the front of your manual. Share your vin number too. Something is not jiving here with my experience. My Gladiator and Wrangler are both 2020 Rubicons. I need the batteries connected to power the taillights and brake lights when towing. Before I had the 2 2020s, I had a...
You are doing something different or wrong. I have towed my Jeeps for ~50K miles and never disconnected a battery. Are you towing 4-down? What tow bar/braking system are you using? Are you connecting to the taillights via a wiring harness?
A quick read in the manual and I do not see...
I believe that the "Charging Current Limit" will change with conditions. Maybe JSerria can test that soon. Regardless, I don't see the value of knowing that.
Mercy!!! These battery threads always go off in a lot of directions. Here are my thoughts:
When running the Jeep with 2 batteries, the dash voltmeter's primary value is to display that the alternator is working. The numbers displayed on the voltmeter do not reflect actual battery...
I ran the red Rubicon shocks for 55,000 miles. The first set died at 40,000 (one was leaking). The second set was still good when I took them off to install a Mopar lift kit. I judge the Fox shocks that came in the Mopar kit to be better in every case except small bumps. The red shocks give...
I love it. I’ve got a Wrangler and a Gladiator configured the same way. The bumper also replaces the factory skid plate. It’s more expensive than most but it is good stuff that is American made.

I went with a Rockhard Bumper because I occasionally tow my Jeep. I bought a 12K Badlands winch from Harbor Freight. If you watch for a sale, you can get ~$100 off. I bought the model winch that has synthetic rope. I've had a winch with steel cable and I much prefer the synthetic rope. My...
My 2 door TJ was a lot of fun, but when going up/down steep spots, I wished it was longer. In fact, one of the first thing Rock Crawlers do on a 2 door Jeep is stretch the wheelbase.
I bought the Rubicon because my wife said that was what she wanted. :) I like the stronger axles, bigger...
I switched from BFG KO2 tires to Toyo ATIII tires 3 years ago. I'm never going back. I like the 35x11r17 tires because they fit on my stock wheels, they fit inside the fenders, and they weight the same as the 285/70r17 tires that came on my Jeeps.
I've got a JLU and a JT, both 2020 Rubicons. They function the same with the exception that the breakover angle on the Gladiator makes the bottom rub a little faster.
I put a soft tonneau cover on the Gladiator so I could carry luggage stuff in the back
I put a shelf in the Wrangler, both to...
