The long saga is mostly complete :)
Received my cap in November and through a series of unfortunate events instillation was delayed until a couple days ago.
I think it turned out pretty decent!
Front Runner load bars and RTT are going on over the weekend. Next week we leave for a 10 day...
So the cap has bent and pushed in the truck bed at the points of clamping? I think that is what your pics and the Ram show, correct? This is a concern I’ve had about the mounting design of the cap, where the majority of the loan is placed at each of those clamp points on the area of the square...
The replacement piece they sent via UPS had a useable tracking number. That one arrived in about a week after they shipped it, which was awesome. Sadly, that liftgate was somehow the wrong color and had no hardware.
The tracking number for the new one doesn't show anything useful, it just shows...
Hey! Yes, you all are the dealer. I've sent a PM to you. I know one of the email addresses for someone at your company has been cc'ed on the RSI correspondence and I have sent a few messages direct to that address as well with no response. They could have gotten lost in the shuffle/spam filter...
I'm not sure RSI can do much of anything. I'm 4 months out from receiving my damaged cap. I still have nothing in the way of a useable fix.
My credit card company has already told me they would authorize a charge back for this debacle. I really don't want to do that to @OffroadAlliance.com, but...
I have confidence my situation will get sorted out. It's just annoying to have a $4000 useless cap in my garage for 3 months :)
But, it's -24 windchill outside right now. So I'm 1. Not camping with it. or 2. Going to run out to install it even once the parts finally show up. hehe
Again, your...
That looks awesome! It's essentially what I would have wanted, if it were available when I ordered last July. I also have a white Rubicon and this would have looked fantastic, just like yours.
I purchased the original because of the overall design and lines. But I would much rather have not...
Looking good! I'm sure a lot of us purchased from you guys. Andy was great at communication when ordering, waiting, and then dealing with the initial damage to my cap. It's great that you can on the forum now, welcome!
I am still waiting on a replacement rear lift gate from @RSI North America...
Damn that sucks. It really pisses me off at this point that SO many people are getting damaged caps. I know when mine was damaged they already had several others with damaged roofs... and I got mine in Nov.
They claim to have modified shipping/packaging. But the failure to adequately adapt to...
I still can’t believe they have zero warranty stock on hand, after getting multiple shipments from South Africa. I’m still sitting with a damaged/broken rear lift gate... after having my cap sitting in my garage for 2 months.
I heard today that RSI NA was going to “check with corporate” on the...
My roof panel box was Visibly mangled. But it wouldn’t have done me any good to refuse delivery. I already knew it was a possibility to get a damaged roof. OA made sure to let me know they could arrange it to be picked back up if I desired.
Now, the real surprise was that every internal box...
@RSI North America Inc paid a body shop to fix mine. If I wasn’t happy with the result they offered to ship a new panel when they were available (after the shop was done). They didn’t have to weld mine though. Just straighten some bent flanges and work on a small crease in the top and touch up...
It's also interesting that yours showed up packaged like mine. By that I mean:
1. On a very small 1/3 sized pallet.
2. Roof Panel not attached to the larger box.
3. No shrink wrap around the boxes.
It's odd because mine came in the first shipment and yours much later. They claimed to have...
Man, I'm sorry to see yours is screw up. The damage is almost identical to the way mine was bent (although your corner is worse than mine, by far). I agree, it was packaged in a terrible way.
Even more of a problem is that RSI did not order in ANY spares for warranty issues like this. They...
Off-road Alliance uses Keystone as their distributor. As far as I’m aware, Keystone is handling ALL of the distribution in the USA. Just FYI.
Also, Frontrunner is still out of stock on the stud plates. I ordered load bars with the regular ones and will just modify them to fit. It’s not much of...
That is dramatically better packed than mine. The roof panel box wasn't attached to the other box at all and there was zero plastic wrap on either. Looks they they got that part sorted out at the very least.
