Congratulations! Just bought my first Jeep too, and it's been a blast so far.
Read a lot of reviews first--my favorite (can't remember which mag) was 3 reviewers evaluating 3 mid-size trucks. They agreed that a different one was the logical one to buy, but all 3 said the one that put smiles...
Stillwater MN here! Happy with the JT. Spending the summer getting ready for the evil MN Salt season. (Mudflaps, nerf bar/step, clearbra, Woolwax . . .)
^^^ Good advice! I live out of town a ways, so by the time I get home from a car wash it's a mess again. However, I am lucky enough to have a heated garage and warm water access, so I can do an underbody spray in the driveway.
^^^ Thanks for the detailed reply! I know the only real way to avoid salt is keep a car in the garage for the season, but that's why I traded my Vette for my Jeep. We have a 15 year old F150 that has been thru every winter. Just a very little body rust thru and a LOT under the truck. Even...
New jeep owner here again. Having a blast with my Gladiator. Planning a DIY Woolwax this summer before the salt season, but I know that's not an option on the exhaust. Added mudflaps and nerf bars to help control the spray.
Just wondering what I might do for the exhaust. And sorry...
Greetings from Minnesota! 2024 here and happy to join the club! Started a few upgrades to prepare for the MN salt season to come. So far installed Westin HDX Xtreme Nerf Side Step Bars (the step is nice plus spray control), RokBlokz mudflaps, and Xpel clear bra partial coverage. Next month...
Congrats! By the way, where did you order your sunrider? Just want to make sure I get the current version.
PS, dropped the Jeep off to have Xpel installed today. Partial hood, front fenders, grill surround.
Started winter prep on my 2024 Gladiator. I know it's a ways off, but MN is a heavy salt state!
Step 1: Installed Westin HDX Xtreme Nerf Side Step Bars for both a step (my seat bolster also thanks me) and some road spray protection.
Step 2: Ordered RokBlokz flaps to help with the spray...
Thanks--I like MN, but the winters can mean a LOT of salt. Just bought my Gladiator, so I am planning a DIY WoolWax application later this summer. I will shoot some in the lower door drains too.
