I had a set but removed them when I added my slider steps due to the cutout for the OEM sliders. I really need to order another set, I think they look great.
I have 35s now so need to go to a larger size.
Yeah, I figured that out. So I put Fox Elite 2.5s on this week, along with 35s. I only have about 30 miles on them so far so no real feedback yet. I will be away from home until Wednesday, but hopefully then I can get some mileage on it and see how they do.
I had 35” Yokohama Geolander XATs and Fuel Beasts installed this week. I seriously considered 37s but decided they were a little too big.
I also had Fox Elite 2.5s installed on the back to help with the bounce, they seem to work so far but I have not driven much yet. I will need to play with...
I am not sure of the part number, I had a local shop order and install before I had it lifted and then had them transferred when it was lifted. They are not long enough for the lift (not sure if they were long enough for the stock coils), but they work just fine.
My cables came in yesterday so I will installing the in the JL and JT today. The 35s were installed on my JT yesterday so I will playing with the speedometer today. Time to buy another license.
I started with the stiff settIng but want to switch to the easy setting, drive for a while, and move to the medium and then back to the stiff setting just to see the effect. I am sure stiff is the way to go, but every truck is different and the roads I drive may be different from others...
I have no idea what the reality is. I have read a lot of your posts and you have taught me a lot, you are obviously experienced. The guy who suggested that I not do a five tire rotation owns the shop that most likely does more lifts, regears, tires and other custom truck stuff than any other in...
I will start fabricating a removable bracket in February. Plenty of time for the spring. I have a Scirocco II that I considered mounting on the ceiling like this guy did. I hate to lose that light, so I might make a bracket that can hold both and only power one at a time.
It would be nice, but...
I think the aux battery in my wife’s 2018 JL is going bad. I replaced the batteries in my JT with a Genesis system so I am going to try my aux battery in hers and see if it solves the start/stop issue.
I have a bedrug on the bulkhead, it works really well. And I can velcro stuff to it.
I cut up a yoga mat to fill the low spots in the bed floor, added 1/2" Styrofoam house insulation over that, and then covered it with an indoor/outdoor rug from Lowes. It makes an amazing difference.
I...
I ordered new tires and wheels last week and am going with four wheels and five tires. The guy at the shop suggested not doing the five tire rotation due to wear on the spider gears of one tire always being slightly different. I do not know if this is accurate but he could have just as easily...
I removed the bolts so I could slide the panel down a little so the top did not rub when opening. Not sure it was necessary, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I used Southco torque hinges from Amazon and the latch was purchased on 8020.net.
I totally forgot to mention that, it is one of the best mods ever. Storage for smelly clothes.
In the first three photos the spring loaded latch was not yet installed.
The reason I had the lift installed was for the stiffer JKS coils. When I had it installed Clayton and Dobinson did not have anything available due to covid supply issues. As it was, I had to use Metalcloask shock extenders.
My bouncing can happen at low or high speed. I hope replacing the...

I bought mine, with batteries, for $500, so It has worked out. If I had the opportunity to start my build from scratch, there are a lot of things I would probably do differently. Not sure if I would do Redarc vs Genesis, but I would look into it more.
