  1. Waterproof Solder Wire Connectors vs Crimp Style Wire Connectors

IF I'm going to use a butt connector (instead of soldering or using a spade connector (or similar)), I normally use the crimp style that also shrink. Basically, marine butt connectors, not automotive. I've never had an issue with them. However, as cecca850 stated, soldering and adhesive...
  2. Mudding harmful to Jeep?

I bought my gladiator specifically to take mudding, trail riding, basically anything off pavement. Dude it’s a JEEP, not a Bentley. They are supposed to have scratches and leftover dirt/mud in the nooks and crannies. Thrash that piece, it’s a Jeep and that is what they are specifically built for...
  3. Mudding harmful to Jeep?

I think your poll results answered your question.
  4. Locker options for Sport

I’d have to find it again. Since that’s a project that’s about 9 months out I didn’t save it because better deals may be available then. All I remember it that it was a site that sells mostly Mopar parts. The harness was at Quadratec. You will need to drill the diff housing for the harness and...
  5. Locker options for Sport

I found a site that had the factory lockers for $800 each, the factory harness that goes in the diff housing is $60 and for argument, a gasket, shims and oil is another $40 per axle. Wire them up to my stock aux switches and I have the stock lockers that can be engaged at will for $1,800.
  6. Locker options for Sport

I plan on getting the Factory electric unit for the front and a limited slip in the rear. I think it absolutely needs LS in the back for daily driving, especially in the rain, since there is no weight over the tires.
  7. HARD shifting from 2hi to 4hi

I pop mine into neutral when shifting between 2H and 4H and it seems to help more than just letting off the gas, or holding the gas pedal at an even coast position. And it's getting better the more I use it.
  8. One touch windows

What was the total cost on this? I'm also a big fan of making harnesses adapters instead of hacking up the factory wiring. Also, do you have a wiring diagram for the connector pinouts?
  9. CarPlay2Air

I also decided to go from an E92 M3 (6MT) to the Gladiator and the M is currently for sale. And I also have an E36 M3. I don't miss them all that much living in Miami, traffic is crazy and all of the roads are straight. But when I lived up in Philly, I used to swear that an M3 would be the...
  10. Auto climate doesn't seem to work

Yes, "auto" does use the AC as needed but DOES NOT light up the AC switch.
  11. Comparing road noise of soft vs hard top

I'm in Miami with the premium soft top and love it. Surprisingly quiet and much easier to completely remove than the hard top. Plus it fits in the bed if you remove it all the way and still want take it with you for that surprise pop up south FL rain shower. Yes it looks a little silly in the...
  12. Gladiator - soft thud sound shifting into Reverse after sitting overnight.

If the engine is still at a high idle rpm this is totally normal, basically it's like neutral bombing it into reverse. It's also not uncommon when going from drive to reverse since all of the rubber mounts/bushings go from being loaded in one direction to the other. In the morning when it's...
  13. Florida Roll Call!

I have Family in St. Augustine. I was up there for Thanksgiving, only saw one other Gladiator. A red one
  14. Florida Roll Call!

    Miami here.
  15. TPMS died what to do

Over the weekend I had the dash light up to service TPMS and the picture below leads me to believe my left rear TPMS sensor died. So my question is, since I have aftermarket wheels (but I did buy OE TPMS sensors for them), will the dealer warranty it or should I just go to a local tire shop to...
  16. what are you using to protect the black fenders and top.

I use this stuff called Blak on the plastic and tires. It lasts forever and doesn't wash off/run with water. Just wear gloves, it will stain your hands for days. I'm probably going to give my premium soft top and tonneau cover a good treatment with the 303 stuff for boats canvases and...
  17. California Iron Cross Side Steps
