  1. About factory colors....

The doors are the same as a Wrangler, but the body and frame are pretty much different for all they look like the JL. They really share very few parts. But point taken, and you could have the right of it.
  2. About factory colors....

I don't wish that. I am a long time Wrangler and CJ owner, and one of the things about the class is that they have long had a color or two that were only available on a Wrangler (or CJ). I don't think we should just throw tradition out the window
  3. Anyone wish it was called Scrambler?

I wanted a Gladiator when I was a kid, before Scramblers were dreamed up
  4. Who steps into and out of their vehicle the same way?

I do like the roam as a matter of fact. I also like the Lod Destroyer and for a cheaper model JCR Offroad
  5. Who steps into and out of their vehicle the same way?

sorry about that, I haven't even started shopping beyond sliders yet.
  6. Who steps into and out of their vehicle the same way?

Those are Rugged Ridge, and they're steel. They were $170 for the set when I got them. They will hold the weight of the rig if I laid her on her side; they would be crumpled a bit. If you get outside the big brands there are some good deals if you look.
  7. Who steps into and out of their vehicle the same way?

I've been getting in and out of jeeps for 40 years now. Each one is different but you get the swing quick enough. My first was a 59 Kaiser-Willys. It was my first car I bought. This is my current, until my JT
  8. Who steps into and out of their vehicle the same way?

I don't. I use the step to steady myself but I don't actually touch the jeep.
  9. Who steps into and out of their vehicle the same way?

I have a lifted JK with RSE slider steps. Getting in and out are two different actions. Left foot on the step, right foot in the cab on the way in, turn to face the door and slide out The narrow steps on the RSE never bothered me. To me that's a non issue fwiw.
  10. Rock Rails Thread

This is all true but if you put a set of Rubi rails on the body then you have no issues with frame mounted sliders. Rubi takeoffs are generally available when their owners upgrade their sliders
  11. Post your 2020 JT Gladiator build status

Still stuck in D status Ordered 5/4 Sport S Red Max Tow Auto Hard Top Bedliner Slush Mats Pretty basic order
  12. Gears for 37" tires

I have 4.88 gears on my JK Rubi auto w/Pentastar and could go up a tire size no problem. If that helps
  13. 2020 Jeep Gladiator May Sales Figure

When I ordered a Sport a month ago, you could not order a base Sport, only a Sport S
  14. Have you noticed this on your buildsheet?

Anything that high off the ground will get squirrely at high speed. You can drive 100, I will mosey along at my own pace
  15. Steel skid plate for bumper shortage?

Aftermarket. There will be a ton of aftermarket bumpers that are better quality. I wouldn't wait on a bumper if it were me.
  16. 2020 Jeep Gladiator May Sales Figure

And bear in mind that a vehicle sold is one where the owner took delivery. All those on order don't count
  17. New to off-road

Swaybar disconnects can be installed for under $150. Lockers can be installed for far less than the cost Rubicon, though if it were me I would think about LSD in front and locker in rear. The situations where you lock the front are really narrow and hard core. The Sport is more capable than...
  18. Anybody know about base sport ordering?

I went in to order a base Sport on 5/4, and the order system mandated that I add the customer preferred package 24s, which makes it a Sport S. Which I was fine with
  19. Late avail Colors pushed back?

Yeah it's the oddest thing. Bed liners are back ordered. I was at the dealer yesterday and we were discussing ordering an identical rig without bed liner as I would probably get it faster. I've been in D status 3 weeks now give or take on it. Of all this things I would not have guessed this...
  20. Hard Top or Soft Top?

Hard top. Can always pickup a soft top later, but this is the one and only chance to get a hard top. Historically they can't be ordered from Mopar. They don't ship well.
