Socal ain't as hot as Phoenix but I haven't noticed any real heat from the floor due to armorlite. Then again I wear shoes or boots never anything else
  2. The Weak Link

That's what my mother tells me

Breaking stuff is a natural born skill I've been blessed with
  5. The Weak Link

    Threads tore out
  6. The Weak Link

@arosen1997 seems to be a winner since that bracket has a nice bend on one side.
  7. The Weak Link

Haven't contacted them, drove back home and just knocked out cause digging is tiring
  8. The Weak Link

Limit straps have always been in the plans, they just never left the planning stage as I'm constantly tweaking and adjusting parts
  9. The Weak Link

Definitely a possibility, just hard to believe it only hit the bracket. I don't remember seeing damage on the lower part of the silver bit yesterday. More pictures later when I do my full inspection.
  10. The Weak Link

The threads definitely were in all the way before the incident (as far as I know). There was never exposed thread when I got them, after this happened so I saw a bit of green loctite on the shafts that they put on when the shock was made (irrelevant but interesting).
  11. The Weak Link

37" mickey thompson baja boss at 3.5" clayton offroad lift 1.5" teraflex spacer in rear only Going through the desert at about 20-40 mph (nothing it hasn't done before) and I assume the tire hit a rock at speed? This caused the threaded rod to rip out from the axle mount bit which is now smooth...
  12. The Weak Link

Upgrade one thing to be stronger just to make something new the weak point. Guess I've found my current weak point. Gonna order the rock sport blacks just for the rears from @Metalcloak Also need to get 2 new tires as the shock stabbed a hole in my sidewall and another tire has a cut in it now.
  13. Does @Jeep Cares really care?

Gave them a call, now let's see if they actually get the part in the typical 2 weeks they told me. Seems better than the 2 dealers I've been to.
  14. Does @Jeep Cares really care?

I can see the jeepcares was online yesterday but hasn't responded to when i gave them an @ a week ago. I can say they probably don't really care. If they cared I wouldn't have the wait a year for a recall that I still haven't gotten done
  15. Two weeks and 470 miles of Jeep ownership and already a Check Engine Light

Unrelated to the CEL but my backup camera failed to connect a few times randomly. Decided to look at the problem myself and found my connector to the camera had lost its safety clip. Plugged it in again and zip tied it down, no issues since. If you can I'd run a battery health test on both...
  16. Any cap options for Motobilt bobbed bed?

Nobody does cause that bed is too low volume and niche. That's something you would probably need to custom fab to have.
  17. What is your dream Gladiator add-on?

I think you could still throw a set on portals and 48s on 😉
  18. W.T.F.D.I.G.M.I - Turning my daily drive into a trail rig.

Ahh, now I know. Also good to know they make tons for swaps. I'm mostly set on fusion but it's cool to see another kingpin option. Please do a write up/review when you get some time with them.
  19. W.T.F.D.I.G.M.I - Turning my daily drive into a trail rig.

Silly question, but that 14 bolt axle says JL rather than JT. I'm under the impression that JL amd JT rears are not interchangeable. Checking on ECGS they don't say they offer a 14 bolt for the JT rather just a D60 or D80.
  20. Clayton 2.5 vs 3.5 Overland Premium Lift Comparison

Seems like he wants additional clearance and the ability to run 37s down the line.
