Its interesting, but not sure what to make of it. On one hand a nice upward trend. I’m sure you don’t just start making them and sell 200,000... ON the other hand, I’d be surprised if they think it will match wrangler.
I suspect that it’s doing well, given the year. Ramping up, probably...
I have a big tree over our driveway, if I've just washed a Jeep or put the top down, I’ll keep it further up or the buggers will get you! They absolutely know what they are doing!!!
I bought a Jeep that is a truck.
Reasons:
if there were no gladiator, I’d be driving a wrangler (#2)
I appreciate the real truck specifications, but likely would have bought it with less
If the doors and top didn’t come off, i would have passed on it...
So; I bought a Jeep (truck)
To new with my JT... but in the Wrangler Ive had people pull up and drive beside me, along the highway... slowing and speeding up “hanging on” I start wondering what’s going on and realize they are checking out the jeep. A Lot of “nice Jeep” at gas stations too.
I had all kinds of chevys, fords, Chrysler’s ....
Ive had examples of bad stuff and good stuff... (Bad: rear brakes on Dodge Grand Caravan, Ford escort rubber pully isolator, Chevy hhr water leak - Good 260k miles on an s10, f150 straight 6, Saturn vue)
they are all man made, the key is trying...
2nd on the reaction of your passenger!
not sure if this this the first Jeep, but either way the best part of jeeping for me has been fun with the kids. Working on it, cruising aroundmaking adventures out of errands.... etc!
Enjoy!!!!
I’m planning on getting a soft top, bought a hard top, there weren’t any Willys soft tops within 250 miles (per the jeep site) and I like hard tops for winter..... anyway I’d be interested in a taller one too, plus one for the “both” vote....
And while I’m at it, a bestop “aftermarket”...
While painting a stop line on the floor of my garage that the rear camera can see.... I used red rustoleum paint and noticed that it seems to be a good match for firecracker red.... ive not painted anything on the truck, use at your own risk.... but might make a decent touch up???
I looked at lots of Willys, I like the black but for me one downside for the black is that you don’t get the accent. All of the black Willys JTs or wranglers the grillwas the same gloss black as the truck. That said it creates a factory blacked out look, as everything is blacked out...
But...
I hauled the lumber to make the supports to haul 4x8 sheets, and the undercover flex bed cover we installed
the undercover flex looks a lot like the mopar, not sure if they make it. There are some differences, biggest is the undercover has the supports to hold up the last panel, I like that...
Ive done some road trips, id be sure to have a shovel, candles, hot hands, food water, blanket, tire change tools (a breaker bar is much better if youbhave to use it) flashlight , etc, etc... look up where you are going some routes may have winter requirements or even close.
a paper map...
Yeah the devil is in the details, the amazon ones dont say, but the first review shows a rock rail jeep... not fitting.
i think i may take a flyer on the weather tech... im no stranger to tools and may just have to modify or not. The quoted thread leads me to think that weather tech may not...
Im trying to get a set of mud flaps for my jt willys. My concern is that i cant find a mopar part number, even though its an option And weather tech and rokblocks specifically state “will not work with rock rails” on anything other than rubicon. Rubicons have a higher fender, so im worried a...
From what i saw here, central ohio; when the gladiators came out they were almost exclusively rubicons. This went on for quite a while, then the sport S started showing up as well. Then came the mohave, overland... now the 80th anniversary models and Willys
ibought a willys, but these only...
