Willys here too...
Wandering steering. There was a recall but yours (mine too) are beyond that (fixed) I noticed in the first days I was over correcting. I was coming from a wrangler and the gladiators steering is more sensitive so I found myself needing to put less correction (instead of over...
My .02:
if power in the bed is important then I’d get it that way, but before you do TFL Truck did a review and there not enough amps to drive many power tools, they joke it would be best for charging batteries... which would still be very handy... I could also see it being great in a...
I think I’ve driven my new 2021 JT (Willys) enough to offer an informed opinion. Especially compared to the prior generation (2015 wrangler unlimited Sport -S) “Jku” *I added a 2” lift (variable rate springs, adjustable shocks and 33” +\- tires), cooper st maxx tires, rear seat recline kit, and...
My .02: watch the video most questions are answered by the video:
Op did his homework and I’ve got zero reason to doubt... he also makes informed decisions on why he did/didn’t do things.
I like it!
(Didn’t mind the vertical video, I’m a gen-x, and have an attention span of greater than a...
My .02: do the maintenance (don’t waste money just doing “things”) but monitor the oil, gear oil, steering, brake, coolant.... change the soarkplugs when needed. Air filter too... keep the engine reasonably clean. Pay attention to symptoms. (Sounds, vibrations, etc) and find and fix things...
I have the under cover flex and really like it.
move been using it a lot more than I thought and it really makes the bed like a trunk when closed but I really like the prop rods to hold it up if i need the whole bed.
looks a lot like the armis above and very similar to the mopar...
On the jku it’s a 20 - 30 min thing, after a few times.... and a helper because it’s big.
My opinion is hard tops are enough work you won’t actually take it off regularly / comparing to when you may have put down the soft top.
impromptu trips to the store, ride home from work on a...
I couldn’t find a soft top when I bought my jt. My jku was bought as a dual top. I have liked having both, and want to get a soft top for the jt as well (kept the jku) . I made a hard top cart and store tucked under a shelf... it’s not been bad changing them out.
Honestly I’d be more...
Winter:
I wash it at the car wash this time of year because it’s winter, salt, and ive turned my valves/hose bibs off to avoid freezing.
Summer:
I do like to wash it at home when it’s warm, but with the Jeep that often means the top is down, doors might be off.... so when I find myself out...
I’m probably the kind of guy that the marketing people at Jeep warn the bean counters about. I would love a two door, circle the dealerships for one, follow on line.... but then buy the 4 door... because I have to.
I like my jeeps, but I’m a jku buyer and now the jt. Reality is I need...
I think the gas cap will also be different/green. The f neck larger diameter
you might get a label and stick it inside the flap, “diesel fuel only”
The little blue def cap is a clue too.
All that said, habit is a powerful thing... I think you’ll figure it out
