That is a bald spot, if equipped with a soft to / man bun it would be a fashion concern. With the toupee it covers nicely.

I used jb weld in my jku when I removed the front plate, similar, can see it if you look. I’d say is “okay”. went to look for pictures and think push pins as suggested above would be better

Those do look great in gloss black, I like the overland on some loaded up overlands... looks “classy” but those gloss black look great!!!
